• Back in lineup Sunday
Rodriguez is starting in center field and batting third for Sunday's game against Miami.

Advice: Rodriguez received a scheduled day off Saturday, but he's back for the series finale Sunday. On the season, he's batting .264/.313/.352 with seven home runs and 29 RBI over 329 plate appearances while stealing 16 bases. Rotowire.com Today, 10:32 am
  • Placed on IL
The Pirates placed Bednar on the 15-day injured list Sunday with a strained left oblique, retroactive to Thursday, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Bednar reported feeling tightness in his side during his throwing session before Saturday's game and wasn't available to pitch in the game. His injury was initially believed to be relatively minor, so it's possible the 29-year-old reliever will be able to return after a minimum-length stay on the IL. Until then, Aroldis Chapman will likely see the majority of save opportunities, and Justin Bruihl will come up from Triple-A to replenish the Pirates' bullpen depth. Rotowire.com Today, 10:30 am

  • Pirates put closer David Bednar (oblique) on IL
Pirates placed RHP David Bednar on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 20, with a left oblique strain.

Advice: Pirates general manager Ben Cherington said Sunday during a local radio interview that he hopes the injury is minor. The 29-year-old stopper was unavailable during Saturday’s game against the Rays due to left side tightness and is going to get some extra time off to rest and recover. There should be some clarity on his status in the coming days. It’ll presumably be Aroldis Chapman handling the closing duties for Pittsburgh during his absence. Rotoworld Today, 9:52 am

  • Moved to 60-day IL
The Marlins transferred Luzardo (back) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

Advice: Manager Skip Schumaker said Saturday that Luzardo would likely be out for 4-to-6 weeks as a result of his lumbar stress reaction, but his move to the 60-day IL ensures that he'll out until at least Aug. 18. He will be joined on the 60-day IL by Edward Cabrera (shoulder), and the Marlins will bring up Kyle Tyler and Kent Emanuel from Triple-A to fill their open 40-man roster spots. • Marlins transfer Jesús Luzardo to 60-day IL
Marlins transferred LHP Jesús Luzardo to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: The procedural move opens up a spot on Miami’s 40-man roster and will keep Luzardo sidelined until mid-August. The 26-year-old southpaw landed on the injured list earlier this weekend with a stress reaction in his back and is going to wind up missing at least two months now. Rotoworld Today, 8:12 am

  • Drives in five Saturday
Castellanos went 2-for-3 with a home run and five RBI in Saturday's 12-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The 32-year-old slugger was hot from the jump, lofting a sacrifice fly in the first inning before crushing a two-run homer to left field off Scott McGough in the fifth and adding a two-run single in the sixth. Castellanos has shaken off his sluggish start to the campaign, and through 18 games in June he's slashing .270/.304/.554 with four homers, 10 runs and 13 RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 5:47 am

  • Big day in rout
Harper went 4-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI in Saturday's 12-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The 31-year-old superstar launched back-to-back homers with Alec Bohm in the third inning, accounting for half of the Phillies' long balls in the contest. Harper is having one of his patented hot streaks -- he's hit safely in 12 of the last 13 games, slashing .404/.475/.731 over that stretch with five doubles, four homers, seven RBI and 12 runs, chipping in a steal for good measure. • Tosses first career complete game
Ober (7-4) earned the win over Oakland on Saturday, allowing two runs on four hits and no walks while striking out 10 batters over nine innings.

Advice: Ober was extremely efficient in the impressive outing, needing just 89 pitches to polish off the first complete game of his career. The right-hander threw 70 of those pitches for strikes and racked up a career-best 23 whiffs. Ober did give up a pair of solo homers -- just the third time through 15 starts that he's allowed multiple home runs -- but those didn't hurt much with Minnesota's offense putting up 10 runs. Ober carries a 4.50 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 83:20 K:BB over 82 innings on the campaign. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:47 pm

  • Racks up three hits
Winn went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 9-4 win over the Giants.

Advice: Winn is batting .286 (22-for-77) over 19 contests in June, and he's notched four extra-base hits over his last nine games. The shortstop has taken over the leadoff spot on a nearly full-time basis, and it's because he's been one of the Cardinals' most consistent hitters this season. The 22-year-old is slashing .300/.344/.435 with four home runs, 27 RBI, 30 runs scored, eight stolen bases, 14 doubles and three triples over 68 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:20 pm
