    Advice: It’s too bad this netted Abrams only one run and one RBI, even though the Nationals scored seven times. Unfortunately, the play from Abrams in this game that everyone will see was him being thrown out after lazily going back to first base following a single. He was also picked off first base in the game. He later appeared to have a stolen base, only to wind up getting sent back to first base because the umpire interfered with the catcher’s throw.     Advice: Abrams has posted a trio of three-hit games over his last four contests. He'd been less fortunate on the basepaths lately, going 1-for-4 on stolen base attempts over the previous five games before his two swipes Monday.     Lindor went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, a hit-by-pitch and a stolen base in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Cubs.

    Advice: Lindor opened the scoring with his third-inning blast. The shortstop has been showcasing all of his skills in June, going 21-for-76 (.276) with four homers, five steals and 10 RBI over 19 contests this month.     Francisco Lindor clobbered a two-run homer and stole a base on Sunday night, helping to lead the Mets to a 5-2 victory over the Cubs in Chicago.

    Advice: Lindor opened the scoring in the ballgame with a 378-foot (101.4 mph EV) two-run blast after an eight-pitch battle with Javier Assad in the third inning. He was also hit by a pitch in the fifth inning and swiped second base before getting stranded at third.     Manager David Bell indicated this weekend that McLain, who underwent shoulder surgery in late March, should be ready to start swinging a bat soon, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. "He's pretty close," Bell said. When he starts swinging, there will be a step-by-step progression from dry swinging to tee work to soft toss, etc. "It's a very well-thought out progression that he'll have to take his time with."

    Advice: Bell alluded to McLain being ready for action at some point in August but also noted it's a long process between now and then. The 2021 first-rounder hit 16 home runs with an .864 OPS in his rookie season last year over 403 plate appearances, so his return could potentially give the Reds, a team that ranks just 21st in OPS, some extra pop down the stretch.     Reds manager David Bell told reporters Sunday that Matt McLain (shoulder) is close to resuming swinging a bat.

    Advice: The Reds are in the process of mapping out a definitive timeline for McLain to return at some point in August as he works his way back from late-March surgery on his left shoulder. The 24-year-old middle infielder was excellent last year in his debut for Cincinnati and figures to make a significant impact for fantasy managers down the home stretch, if he can avoid any setbacks.     Advice: Abrams doubled in his second at-bat before coming around to score Washington's first run of the contest on a Lane Thomas single. The shortstop would then add a leadoff homer in the fifth to cut Colorado's lead down to one run, giving him 12 long balls on the season. Abrams has now logged multiple hits in three consecutive games and is batting .361 in June with three homers, 13 RBI and 12 runs scored.     CJ Abrams went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and two RBI on Saturday in the Nationals’ loss to the Rockies.

    Advice: Abrams socked a majestic fifth-inning solo homer to right field -- his 12th round-tripper of the season -- off Rockies starter Cal Quantrill as part of a three-hit effort. The 23-year-old burgeoning fantasy superstar has notched six hits, including one homer and one steal, in 10 at-bats over two games at Coors Field since returning from a brief absence earlier this week due to a cyst near his left wrist. It certainly doesn’t appear that the lingering issue is going to impact his on-field performance based on what we’ve witnessed over the last few days in Colorado.
