    Clase struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Blue Jays.

    Advice: Clase retired the side on 15 pitches for his 23rd save of the season. He's pitched four perfect innings over his last four appearances after giving up runs in back-to-back outings June 9 and 11. The 26-year-old has been nearly untouchable for the Guardians with a 0.74 ERA, 0.61 WHIP and 37:3 K:BB over 36.1 innings.     Advice: Lively bounced back from his shortest start of the year by getting back into the win column. He hasn't struck out more than five batters in any of his last five outings, but he's generally been good at limiting damage, as he's given up two or fewer runs in nine of his 12 starts. The right-hander is at a 3.03 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 56:20 K:BB through 65.1 innings this season, though he's also been tagged for 10 home runs, including two in Saturday's start.     Ben Lively allowed two runs in 5 2/3 innings and got the win in the Guardians’ 6-3 victory over the Blue Jays on Saturday.



    Advice: Lively gave up three hits, walked two and struck out four. He’s now won five of his last seven starts and has seven wins overall on the season. His ERA is 3.03. Not bad for a waiver wire pickup. The 32-year-old right-hander is set to face the Royals on the road next weekend.

  • Ronel Blanco holds O’s to one run over seven
    Ronel Blanco allowed one run in seven innings to get a win Saturday over the Orioles.

    Advice: Blanco gave up a homer to Jordan Westburg in the second inning, but it was smooth sailing for the right-hander from that point on. He did put three runners on via walk, but he was able to strike out four and limited the loaded Baltimore lineup at an impressive level.     Sewald earned a save against the Phillies on Friday, retiring all three batters he faced in the ninth inning.

    Advice: Tasked with preserving a 5-4 lead, Sewald needed just 11 pitches to secure his ninth save of the year. The right-hander has not allowed a run since his first outing of the season May 7 and is a perfect 9-for-9 in converting save chances.     Paul Sewald pitched a clean ninth inning on Friday to earn the save.

    Advice: There must be something about the city of Philadelphia or Citizens Bank itself that just calms Sewald because he did on Friday what he did four times in the last NLCS: shut the Phillies down.     Foley struck out one over 1.1 innings to earn the save in a 2-1 win over the White Sox on Friday.

    Advice: Foley was summoned to protect a 2-1 lead with two outs in the eighth inning and induced a groundout from Andrew Vaughn. He hit Paul DeJong with a pitch in the ninth but ended the game with a double play to earn his 13th save of the season.
