    Advice: Clase coughed up an out-of-character run on a Michael Conforto groundout. Clase was still able to close out the 5-4 win and pick up his 27th save of the year. He's given up just four earned runs through 42.1 innings this season, resulting in a 0.85 ERA. Sunday's outing snapped a nine-inning scoreless streak.   • Emmanuel Clase earns 27th save
    Emmanuel Clase allowed one run on one hit but secured the save in a 5-4 win over the Giants on Sunday.

    Advice: Lopez dominated once again with his sixth start of the season with five or more innings and zero runs allowed, tying him with Tarik Skubal for the most such appearances in MLB. Lopez lowered his ERA to an MLB-leading 1.71 in the process. It's tied for the fifth-lowest by an Atlanta player in his first 16 starts of a season since 1912 and the lowest since Tom Glavine in 2002. The 30-year-old is already up to 89.2 innings this season, which is his most since 2019, so his workload will be something to monitor in the second half of the season.   • Reynaldo López shuts down Phillies, drops ERA to 1.71
    Reynaldo López twirled six shutout innings on Sunday in a 6-0 win over the Phillies. He struck out six batters and walked three en route to the win.

    Advice: All López does is keep runs off the board. This was the sixth start this season where he didn’t allow an earned run and he hasn’t allowed more than three in any outing. His fastball filled up the zone and his slider put the Phillies’ hitters away.     Jeffers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.

    Advice: Jeffers has moved into a timeshare with Christian Vazquez, as neither of the two has started consecutive games since Jeffers served as a designated hitter June 1 in Houston before working behind the plate a day later in the series finale. The first baseman has also tallied multiple hits in six of his last 10 contests and has driven in at least one run in 10 of his last 12.     Advice: The second baseman banged out the Cardinals' only extra-base hits on the afternoon. Gorman has produced multiple hits in three of five games to begin the month of July, and he appears to be shaking off a brutal slump that saw him slash .083/.151/.155 over the prior 24 games with a bloated 39.8 percent strikeout rate.     Nick Lodolo (finger) threw a bullpen session Saturday.

    Advice: Lodolo has been on the injured list since June 25 while dealing with a blister issue. The southpaw hurler has completed two sessions over the last week, and he’s eligible to come off the list Tuesday. There’s no timetable for when he’ll actually return, and there’s a chance that we won’t see Lodolo until after the All-Star break, but it’s at least positive that he’s able to throw right now.
