    • Logs quality start in no-decision
Carrasco did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the White Sox, allowing three runs on four hits and one walk with seven strikeouts over six innings.

Advice: Carrasco allowed a solo home run in the first inning and a two-run home run in the sixth but threw four scoreless frames in between. He registered an impressive 10 swinging strikes on 70 pitches and has logged quality starts in two of his past three outings. He still owns an uninspiring 5.21 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 61:24 K:BB through 76 innings and lines up for a home matchup against the Giants this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 8:13 pm

    • Logs quality start in no-decision
Flexen did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the Guardians, allowing six runs (three earned) on six hits and one walk with three strikeouts over six innings.

Advice: Flexen entered the sixth inning in a 3-3 tie but an error by Paul DeJong led to three unearned runs before he finished the frame at 101 pitches. It wasn't the most appealing quality start, but Flexen has now logged two in his past three outings. The 30-year-old has not recorded a win since May 8 and owns a 5.08 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 63:33 K:BB over 85 innings. He lines up for a road matchup with the Marlins this weekend. • Ashcraft fades in 6th inning against Yankees
Graham Ashcraft allowed three runs on four hits in five innings in a win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

Advice: Ashcraft threw five shutout innings, but he came out for the sixth inning and allowed a single, a walk, and a run-scoring single before being removed from the game. Nick Martinez then allowed a two-run double to bring in the other runs charged to Ashcraft. While the overall performance was solid, Ashcraft also struck out just three batters, walked two, and posted a 24 percent whiff rate and 27 percent CSW. There just isn’t much here for fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Today, 7:25 pm

    • Manaea allows one run in no decision
Sean Manaea allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits in seven innings in a no-decision against the Nationals.

Advice: Manaea struck out five and walked two on the day to lower his ERA to 3.67. While the surface-level stats are good, Manaea got just nine whiffs on 47 swings for a 19 percent whiff rate and 27 percent CSW. He filled up the strike zone with his sinker but struggled to throw his other pitches in the zone with each of them getting under a 50 percent zone rate. You can’t argue the results, but there doesn’t seem to be much in the arsenal that suggests Manaea is a much different pitcher this season; however, he could be a solid streamer against the Pirates this weekend. • DJ Herz strikes out 10 Mets on Tuesday
DJ Herz allowed one run on five hits in 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Mets

Advice: Herz also struck out 10 and didn’t walk a single batter on the day. In fact, his only real blemish was a solo home run given up to Francisco Lindor in the sixth inning. The left-hander induced 16 whiffs on 51 swings for a 31 percent whiff rate and 38 percent CSW. His four-seam and cutter did the most damage on the day; however, Herz also showcased a new changeup that was three mph faster with less drop and more horizontal run. It didn’t get many whiffs on the day but induced a lot of weak contact and could be a decent development for the 23-year-old. Rotoworld Today, 7:03 pm

    • Emmanuel Clase earns win against White Sox
Emmanuel Clase pitched a scoreless ninth inning in a 7-6 win over the White Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: Clase pitched the ninth in a tie game and allowed no runs with no hits, no strikeouts, and no walks. He then earned a win when the Guardians scored off Michael Kopech in the bottom of the inning. He now has a 4-1 record to go along with 25 saves on the season. Pretty, pretty, pretty good. • Carrasco pitches to quality start in no decision
Carlos Carrasco allowed three runs on four hits in six innings in a no-decision against the White Sox.

Advice: The veteran also struck out seven and walked one while posting a 26 percent whiff rate and 31 percent CSW. After a solo home run by Andrew Vaughn in the first inning, Carrasco was cruising until the start of the sixth when he allowed a single and a home run to Luis Robert Jr. The veteran has a 5.21 ERA on the season, and this feels a little bit like an effort fueled by a poor opponent. He should not be streamed against the Giants this weekend. Rotoworld Today, 6:21 pm

    • Flexen hit hard in no decision
Chris Flexen allowed six runs (three earned) on six hits in six innings in a no-decision against the Guardians on Tuesday.

Advice: Flexen struck out three and walked one on the day. He allowed eight hard-hit baseballs including two home runs, which accounted for four of the Guardians’ runs. He did earn 13 whiffs on 54 swings for a 24 percent whiff rate and a 26 percent CSW. With a 5.08 ERA on the year, Flexen is not to be trusted in fantasy leagues and will be a risky stream even against the Marlins this weekend. Rotoworld Today, 6:17 pm

    • Kutter Crawford fans seven in victory over Marlins
Kutter Crawford struck out seven and allowed one run over six innings on Tuesday in a win over the Marlins.

Advice: Crawford took full advantage of a tasty matchup against the floundering Marlins at pitcher-friendly loanDepot park on Tuesday evening, retiring eight consecutive batters to open the contest, and carried a shutout bid into the fifth inning before serving up a solo homer to Jake Burger, which represented the lone tally against him over six frames. He generated 16 swinging strikes and finished with an astronomical 46 percent CSW. He’ll carry a solid 3.47 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 102/28 K/BB ratio across 98 2/3 innings (17 starts) into a challenging road tilt on Sunday against the Yankees in primetime. Get your popcorn ready.
