      Siri went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs in a 3-1 win over the Nationals on Friday.

      Advice: Siri led off the second inning with a home run off Mitchell Parker, walked in the fourth and then opened the sixth with another long ball off Jacob Barnes. The outfielder now has eight multi-hit efforts and six home runs in June, though he has not stolen any bases in the month.     • Throws six scoreless innings in win
      Eflin (4-5) earned the win against the Nationals on Friday, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out six over six scoreless innings.

      Advice: Eflin threw 66 of 93 pitches for strikes and earned his first victory since May 13 and first quality start since May 7. The 30-year-old has now recorded at least six strikeouts over each of his past three outings and has only walked three batters in 28.1 June innings.     • Jose Siri homers twice to power Rays past Nats
      Jose Siri crushed a pair of solo home runs on Friday night, powering the Rays to a 3-1 victory over the Nationals.

      Advice: Siri opened the scoring in the contest in the second inning when he crushed a 405-foot (108.6 mph EV) leadoff homer off of Mitchell Parker. He then increased the Rays’ advantage with a 428-foot (107.1 mph EV) solo blast off of Jacob Barnes to start the sixth inning that made it a 3-0 ballgame. The dynamic 28-year-old outfielder also worked a walk in the ballgame, finishing the night 2-for-3. He’s now slashing .219/.300/.423 with 11 homers, 29 RBI and seven stolen bases on the season.     • Zach Eflin hurls six scoreless in win over Nats
      Zach Eflin was terrific in Friday night’s victory over the Nationals, punching out six batters over six innings of shutout baseball.

      Advice: Eflin scattered just four hits and one walk on the night. Only once did an opposing hitter advance past second base in the game, and that was Jacob Young who advanced to third on a ground ball after his leadoff double in the third inning and was then thrown out at home on a fielder’s choice. The 30-year-old right-hander generated 11 swings and misses on 93 pitches in the ballgame — five of those on his curveball — while posting a CSW of 29 percent.       Luke Raley (shoulder) remains out of the Mariners’ starting lineup for Friday night’s showdown against the Twins.

      Advice: Raley will miss his second straight game due to soreness in his shoulder. The good news, is that an MRI revealed no structural damage and the 29-year-old outfielder is expected to be available off the Mariners’ bench on Friday. He should be considered day-to-day.       Reds’ manager David Bell told reporters on Friday that Jeimer Candelario (knee) is expected to return to the starting lineup on Sunday.

      Advice: Candelario has missed each of the team’s last three games due to a knee issue and he’ll sit on Saturday as well. The team doesn’t want him to miss a full 10 days though and they’re very hopeful that he’ll be able to return to action on Sunday.
