      Advice: Valdez did issue two walks, but he was able to keep the self-inflicted damage to a low roar while striking out four. The southpaw ha gone seven innings in three of his last five starts, and he hasn’t allowed more than two runs in any of those outings. He knocked another base hit to lead off the third and stole second before scoring from second on a wild pitch. The 31-year-old third baseman has been on a tear over the last month.
