    • Tyler Alexander wins, pitches into eighth inning
Tyler Alexander pitched a career-high 7 ⅓ innings in a 4-3 win over the Blue Jays on Friday. He allowed three runs, three hits, and struck out four.

Advice: It’s been a trying season for Alexander as he’s fully transitioned into a starter’s role with the Tampa Bay rotation strapped for depth and this was his best start. It’s still difficult to trust him moving forward. Rotoworld 11 minutes ago

    • Peter Fairbanks earns fourth save on Friday
Peter Fairbanks worked a clean ninth inning striking out one Blue Jays on Friday for his fourth save.

Advice: Fairbanks finally saved his first game since returning from the IL. He’s allowed no earned runs with six strikeouts across four innings and looks back to his normal, dominant self. Rotoworld 12 minutes ago
    • Davis Schneider homers in loss
Davis Schneider hit a two-run home run in a loss to the Rays on Friday.

Advice: As has been the story for most of this season, Schneider was the lone bright spot for the Jays’ offense on Friday. The home run was his fifth of the season and his 13 BB% and 145 wRC+ suggest he could move up in order permanently if the Blue Jays ever want to relieve George Springer of his lead-off duties. • Richie Palacios hits two-run homer in win
Richie Palacios went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in the Rays win over the Blue Jays on Friday.

Advice: Palacios has become a highly productive lineup fixture for the Rays, only sitting against three right-handed pitchers this season. The home run was his fourth along with six stolen bases. Friday also marked his ninth start at second base. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago

    • Chris Bassitt allows three earned runs in loss
Chris Bassitt pitched 5 ⅔ innings and allowed three earned runs on Friday in a loss to the Rays. He struck out five and walked three.

Advice: Bassitt just can’t seem to get on track this season. He unraveled in the sixth inning, the third time through the Rays’ order, with Richie Palacios’ two-run homer chasing him. His 5.03 ERA has been a huge disappointment and his career-high 10 BB% doesn’t suggest better times are coming. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago

    • Pops fourth homer
Fry went 3-for-3 with a two-run homer in Friday's win over the Twins.

Advice: Fry put Cleveland ahead with his 364-foot, two-run home run in the sixth inning off reliever Steven Okert. The 28-year-old utility man has been especially hot since the calendar turned to May, hitting .366 (11-for-30) this month. Over 95 plate appearances this season, Fry is slashing .333/.453/.560 with four homers, 15 runs scored and 14 RBI. Rotowire.com 17 minutes ago

    • Allows one run in no-decision
Woods Richardson did not factor into the decision Friday against the Guardians, allowing one run on four hits and no walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Woods Richardson looked much steadier in his outing Friday night, allowing just five baserunners by scattering four singles and issuing one hit-by-pitch. It also marked his first career start without allowing a free pass, as he yielded at least one walk in each of his previous six starts. The 23-year-old right-hander is scheduled to pitch against the Nationals on the road in his next outing. Rotowire.com 19 minutes ago
    • Locks up 13th save
Clase picked up the save Friday against Minnesota. He pitched a clean inning with one strikeout.

Advice: Clase required only 13 pitches to retire the side in order for the save Friday night. The 26-year-old closer is riding a streak of eight straight scoreless appearances, allowing just one hit and one walk with seven strikeouts and five saves over eight innings. Clase remains among the game's most elite closers, sporting a 0.42 ERA over 22.1 innings this season. Rotowire.com 21 minutes ago
    • Quality in no-decision
McKenzie did not factor into the decision Friday against the Twins, allowing one run on two hits and four walks over 6.1 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: McKenzie posted his second consecutive quality start with the effort Friday. The Cleveland right-hander has tossed six straight starts allowing two or fewer runs while generating five or more strikeouts, producing a 2.12 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 35:19 K:BB in 34 innings over that time. McKenzie is scheduled to face the Mets at home in his next outing. Rotowire.com 24 minutes ago
