      Advice: Swanson landed on the 10-day injured list a week ago with a right knee injury. He'll be eligible for activation Saturday, but while it appears he is making progress, it seems unlikely that he will be ready at that time.     • Angels activate Luis Rengifo for Friday return
      Angels activated INF/OF Luis Rengifo from the 10-day injured list.

      Advice: The Angels tried to keep Rengifo on the active roster, but after he missed five games, they decided to put him on the injured list last Thursday. A week later, he’s returning to the fold and should likely remain an everyday player for the Angels given how banged up their lineup is.       The Angels activated Rengifo (illness) from the 10-day injured list Thursday.

      Advice: Rengifo missed the last week and a half with a viral illness which resulted in painful blisters on his feet. He's recovered now, though, and should be back in the lineup when the Angels return to action Friday in Texas against the Rangers.       Gonzales went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run during Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Brewers.

      Advice: It took Gonzales just five games since being called up from Triple-A to notch a home run, as he tagged Joe Ross for a two-run shot in the fourth inning. While Tuesday's contest marked Gonzales' second multi-RBI game this year, he's yet to generate multiple hits in a single game and is slashing .214/.267/.429 with a stolen base in 16 plate appearances.       Nick Gonzales went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Brewers.

      Advice: Gonzales homered in the fourth inning to score Connor Joe, giving the Pirates their first runs on the afternoon. Offense was hard to come by for the Pirates in this one, as they were held to just three hits on the night in the losing effort.       Rengifo (illness) fielded grounders Monday and could return from the injured list when eligible Friday, per MLB.com.

      Advice: Rengifo came down with a viral infection in early May and landed on the IL when the illness caused painful blisters on his feet. His ability to take grounders Monday is a good indication that he's doing better, and there's a chance he could spend the minimum amount of time on the injured list. Upon his return, Rengifo should slide back into a starting role at third base -- Niko Goodrum, Luis Guillorme and Cole Tucker have been filling in at the hot corner in his stead.
