    • Lane Thomas has SB, game-tying RBI
Lane Thomas went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a steal in a win over the Rockies on Sunday.

Advice: Thomas had been hitless before doubling off Jalen Beeks in the ninth inning to tie the game at 1-1. He then stole third and came around to score on a single by Joey Meneses. Thomas got off to a slow start, but he has been good since coming off the IL, hitting .295/.341/.564 in June with five home runs, 17 RBI, 16 runs scored, and two steals. Congratulations if you were able to buy low while he was hurt. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:51 pm
    • Kyle Freeland pitches well in no decision
Kyle Freeland threw six shutout innings, allowing just one hit while striking out four and walking one in a no-decision against the Nationals on Sunday.

Advice: Freeland allowed one single on the day and the Nationals had an average exit velocity of just 85 mph off of him. It was certainly a great way for Freeland to come off the IL after not having pitched since mid-April. He induced nine whiffs on 34 swings for a 24 percent whiff rate and 29 percent CSW. He makes for a solid streamer next week on the road against the White Sox. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:44 pm
    • Jake Irvin lights out against Rockies
Jake Irvin allowed one run on three hits in six innings in a no-decision against the Rockies on Sunday.

Advice: Irvin also struck out 10 and walked just one. His only blemish was a solo home run to Michael Toglia in the second inning. It was a tremendous effort for the 27-year-old in Coors Field, posting a 39 percent whiff rate and 32 percent CSW. Irvin has let his curveball lead of late, which is a great decision since he commands the pitch well and he can also miss bats with it. He likely will remain a high-end streamer rather than a must-roster player, but that can still be valuable with offense down around the league. He should be started next week against the Rays. • Ryan Helsley records league-leading 26th save
Ryan Helsley threw a shutout ninth inning to preserve a 5-3 win over the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: The right-hander didn’t allow a hit while striking out two batters. The effort gave Helsley his league-leading 26th save to go along with a solid 2.81 ERA. He has been one of the best draft day values among relievers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:20 pm
    • Alec Burleson has two hits, two SB in win
Alec Burleson went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two steals in a win over the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: Burleson had an RBI single in the first inning and then another RBI single in the second to give him 32 RBI on the season. The two swipes also gave him five on the year to go along with a .385/.319/.469 slash line. He hits near the top of the lineup pretty much every day and needs to be rostered in more leagues. • Patrick Bailey homers in loss to Cardinals
Patrick Bailey went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Cardinals on Sunday.

Advice: Bailey crushed a 425-foot shot off of Sonny Gray in the seventh inning at 104 mph for his sixth big fly of the year. Bailey is also slashing .292/.362/.444 and has been tremendous for the Giants when not on the IL as he battled concussion issues. He’s playing well enough and starting often enough that he can be rostered in one-catcher leagues far more regularly. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:16 pm
    • Webb recovers from rough start in loss
Logan Webb allowed four runs on nine hits in six innings in a loss to the Cardinals on Sunday.

Advice: The game started off on the wrong foot for Webb, who allowed three runs on four hits in the first inning and then allowed another run on two more hits in the second. Over his final four innings, he didn’t allow a run, while giving up just three hits and striking out four. Webb may be more of an SP2 in fantasy baseball than the ace many wanted him to be coming into this year, but he’s a rock-solid starter who will carry a 3.16 ERA into a tough start against the Dodgers next weekend. • Sonny Gray electric in win over Giants
Sonny Gray allowed one run on one hit in seven innings in a win over the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: Gray also struck out eight and walked none while posting a 30 percent whiff rate and 39 percent CSW. He only made one real mistake on the day, allowing a solo home run to Patrick Bailey in the seventh inning. The Giants averaged just 81.6 mph on all balls put in play during the game, and Gray now has a 2.81 ERA heading into a start against the Reds at home next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:09 pm

    • Leody Taveras has two hits, SB in win
Leody Taveras went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a steal in a 4-0 win over the Royals on Sunday.

Advice: It was a much-needed strong start for Taveras, who is hitting just .215/.280/.329 on the season and is at risk of losing his job when Evan Carter is eligible to return from the IL. Taveras now has seven steals on the season and has gone 4-for-16 in his last four games. He’ll need more than that to keep his playing time during the second half of the season.
