      Advice: Snell had tossed 4.2 innings of one-run ball while striking seven batters, but he was forced to exit with the bases loaded in the top of the fifth inning. The left-hander had already thrown 99 pitches in the contest, so he was likely facing his final batter of the game anyway. Reliever Erik Miller surrendered a two-run double to Alex Verdugo when he entered the contest, tacking on two more earned runs to Snell's line.     • Blake Snell exits start with injury on Sunday
      Blake Snell was removed from Sunday’s start against the Yankees in the fifth inning due to an apparent injury.

      Advice: It’s still unclear exactly what happened here, but with two outs in the fifth inning Snell received a visit from manager Bob Melvin, the pitching coach and the training staff — after which the decision was made to pull him from the game. To add insult to injury, Erik Miller came on and allowed a two-run single that plated a pair of Snell’s runners. Ultimately, he was charged with three runs on five hits and three walks over his 4 2/3 innings of work while striking out seven batters. Expect the Giants to provide an update on his status shortly.       Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Abreu twisted his right ankle in the dugout during Sunday's loss to the Tigers and is receiving treatment, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

      Advice: The 24-year-old went 1-for-4 with a run scored before he suffered the injury and was replaced by a pinch hitter during the ninth inning.       Advice: Schneider came around to score on Daniel Vogelbach’s go-ahead, two-run double and seems to be in the middle of most Blue Jays rallies at this point.       Woods Richardson did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing three runs on three hits and two walks over 4.1 innings against the Astros. He struck out six.

      Advice: Woods Richardson, a native of suburban Houston, was pulled after one out in the fifth prior to facing the top of the Astros lineup for the third time. It was not a bad outing for Woods Richardson, though he doubled his homers allowed for the season, allowing a solo homer to Victor Caratini in the second followed by a two-run blast by Alex Bregman in the third that accounted for each of his three runs allowed. Following a five-run blowup against Toronto on May 11, Woods Richardson had allowed only three runs over his previous three starts totaling 15 innings coming into the day. He still maintains a 3.05 ERA and 1.11 WHIP on the season. He's next slated to toe the rubber next weekend when the Twins travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Pirates.     • Wilyer Abreu getting treatment on his ankle
      Red Sox’ manager Alex Cora told reporters after Sunday’s loss to the Tigers that Wilyer Abreu is getting treatment on his ankle.

      Advice: The 24-year-old outfielder slipped down the dugout steps late in the game and appeared to roll his ankle. He stayed in the game though, until he was pinch-hit for against left-hander Andrew Chafin in the ninth inning.       Ketel Marte starred Sunday going 3-for-3 with two home runs, a double, two runs scored, three RBI, and a walk in a 5-4 win over the Mets.

      Advice: Marte started this game by taking José Quintana deep and ended it by homering off of Jake Diekman to put the Diamondbacks ahead.       Gunnar Henderson went 3-for-3 with a homer and two walks Sunday versus the Rays.
