    • Not starting against lefty
Cruz isn't in the Pirates' lineup for Saturday's game against the Blue Jays, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: With lefty Yusei Kikuchi starting for Toronto, the left-handed bat of Cruz will step out of the lineup Saturday. Nick Gonzales will slide over to play shortstop while Jared Triolo covers the keystone. Rotowire.com Today, 10:23 am

    • Julien, Kepler, Larnach, Kirilloff out Saturday vs. lefty
Edouard Julien, Max Kepler, Trevor Larnach and Alex Kirilloff are not in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Astros.

Advice: No surprises here as Minnesota continues rotating their quartet of left-handed bats in and out of the lineup depending on matchups. It’ll be Carlos Santana, Manuel Margot, Kyle Farmer and Ryan Jeffers getting the nod to face Astros southpaw Framber Valdez. Rotoworld Today, 9:18 am
    • Breather versus left-hander
Julien is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's matchup with the Astros.

Advice: Julien will head to the bench as Minnesota takes on southpaw Framber Valdez. Kyle Farmer will draw the start at second base and bat seventh versus Houston. Rotowire.com Today, 9:07 am
    • Three homers in four games
Bregman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Friday against the Twins.

Advice: Bregman accounted for the Astros' only run with his seventh home run of the season. After a slow start to the campaign, he has started to turn things around, going 8-for-24 with three home runs, five RBI and four runs scored across his last six games. Bregman still has just a .652 OPS for the season, though he has managed 26 RBI across 55 games. Rotowire.com Today, 8:22 am

    • Back in lineup Friday
Semien returned to the starting lineup and went 1-for-4 in Friday's 8-2 loss to Miami.

Advice: Semien was back in the lineup after he sat out Wednesday's game, breaking a streak of 349 consecutive regular-season starts. As it turns out, Semien was dealing with the residual effects of a collision with teammate Adolis Garcia, per Kennedi Landry of MLB.com. Texas manager Bruce Bochy said Semien was feeling "banged up," which was the reason he sat out Wednesday. Rotowire.com Today, 6:06 am
    • Goes yard twice in win
Rafaela went 2-for-4 with two home runs and five RBI in Friday's 7-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Per Ian Browne of MLB.com, Rafaela has made some tweaks to his swing mechanics in an attempt to get going at the plate, and the adjustments seem to be paying off. The 23-year-old put together his first career multi-homer game by launching a three-run shot off Kenta Maeda in the fourth inning before tagging Joey Wentz for a two-run blast in the sixth that just cleared the Green Monster. Over the last 11 games, Rafaela is batting .289 (11-for-38) with three homers, two steals, nine runs and 10 RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 6:02 am

    • Marcus Semien returns to lineup Friday vs. Marlins
Marcus Semien singled on Friday in his return to the Rangers’ lineup.

Advice: Semien was held out of the lineup for Wednesday’s series finale against the Diamondbacks due to some lingering general soreness following a collision with teammate Adolis García earlier this month. The 33-year-old ironman had made 349 consecutive starts for the Rangers since May 12, 2022. Rotoworld Today, 4:40 am
    • Edouard Julien goes 0-for-2, gets lifted
Edouard Julien was lifted for a pinch-hitter after going 0-for-2 against the Astros on Friday.

Advice: A demotion to Triple-A for Julien is very much a possibility as the countermove for when Royce Lewis rejoins the Twins. He’s still very likely Minnesota’s long-term second baseman, but he’s not currently getting the job done while hitting .205/.305/.367. Willi Castro could slide to second in his place. • First to 20 homers in 2024
Judge went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in Friday's 6-2 win over the Giants.

Advice: Judge ended May with a bang, earning his first multi-homer game of the year while reaching the 20-homer mark. He did a ton of damage to opposing pitchers this month, going 36-for-97 (.371) with 14 long balls, 12 doubles and 27 RBI over 28 contests. The slugger is up to a fantastic .282/.408/.648 slash line with 45 RBI, 40 runs scored and two stolen bases over 59 contests in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:41 pm
