      Tommy Edman, who is working his way back from wrist surgery, suffered a sprained ankle while taking grounders on Tuesday.

      Edman (wrist) sprained his ankle while fielding grounders Tuesday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

      Advice: The injury isn't viewed as a major setback, but it's not ideal after Edman had finally been making some real progress in his recovery from right wrist surgery. The Cardinals had been hopeful that Edman would be ready for a rehab assignment soon, and while that still could be the case, the ankle issue could delay him a few days.       Mauricio Dubón is absent from the Astros lineup Wednesday for the first time since June 7.

      Advice: Dubón is a fantastic utilityman, but an everyday first baseman or left fielder he’s not and that’s rather how the Astros have been treating him lately. He’s hit .250/.276/.361 in 77 plate appearances this month, and it’d be for the best if he plays less once Kyle Tucker rejoins the Houston outfield.       India batted leadoff and went 2-for-2 with two walks, two doubles, two steals and three runs scored in Tuesday's 9-5 loss to the Pirates.

      Advice: He was also hit by a pitch. India batted leadoff for a second straight game, filling in at the spot normally handled by TJ Friedl, who was added to the 10-day injured list Monday with a hamstring injury. In two games atop the order, India is 5-for-6 with three walks, four doubles, two steals and six runs scored. The two steals lifted him to eight for the season.       Yankees manager Aaron Boone said after Tuesday’s game that Gleyber Torres’s failure to run hard to first base in the eighth was a product of his groin issue.

      Advice: Torres left Thursday and missed Friday’s game with the groin problem before returning Saturday.       Advice: India is enjoying a tremendous month of June, going 26-for-72 (.361) with two home runs, 15 runs scored, and three steals. India has also been leading off since TJ Friedl went on the IL, which is more good news for his fantasy value.
