      Manny Machado (hip) was held out of the Padres’ starting lineup for the third consecutive game on Saturday.

      Advice: Unlike the previous two days though, Machado did participate in a full pregame workout with the team, indicating that his return is imminent. He should once again be available off the bench if needed on Saturday.       Advice: Kim went 0-for-10 with two walks over the previous three games before breaking out Friday. The homer was his eighth of the year but just his second over the last 18 contests. The shortstop has a .223/.332/.393 slash line with 29 RBI, 34 runs scored and 13 stolen bases through 66 games.
