    • Grabs first win
Medina (1-2) allowed one run on six hits and two walks while striking out three over 5.2 innings to earn the win Wednesday over the Royals.

Advice: Medina came up one out short of a quality start, exiting the game at 88 pitches (54 strikes). He's had two good outings and two poor starts since joining the Athletics' rotation at the start of June. The 25-year-old is now at a 4.71 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 13:10 K:BB through 21 innings this season. With a weak offense to support him and a lack of dominant command, Medina offers minimal upside in fantasy outside of favorable matchups. He'll have one of those in his next start, which is projected to be on the road versus the Angels. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:09 pm

    • Luis Medina holds Royals to one run in win
Luis Medina allowed one run with three strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings in a win over the Royals on Wednesday.

Advice: Medina put together a solid start against the Royals, holding them to one run into the sixth inning. He tossed four scoreless frames before Bobby Witt Jr. brought a run in to score on a double in the fifth. Medina recorded the first two outs in the sixth and exit with one runner on base. He struck out three. The 25-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 4.71 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, and a 13/10 K/BB ratio across 21 innings. He’ll take on the Angels in Anaheim on Monday. • Records first save
Brewer worked around two walks to pitch a scoreless ninth inning and earn the save in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Giants.

Advice: Brewer just returned from the injured list last week and he's possibly already moved up the bullpen hierarchy. Regular closer Hector Neris has allowed seven earned runs over his last three appearances with two blown saves, including in Monday's contest. The veteran Neris may have simply been getting some rest, and there's been no official word that the team is making a change, but this is a situation worth monitoring. Brewer would, of course, see a jump in fantasy value if he starts getting regular save opportunities. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 5:30 pm
    • Idle Wednesday
Adell isn't in the Angels' lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Advice: After starting the series 0-for-6, Adell will receive a day off for Wednesday's rubber match. Kevin Pillar will instead get the nod to start in right field while batting fourth. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:02 pm

    • Jo Adell absent from Angels’ lineup on Wednesday
Jo Adell is absent from the Angels’ starting lineup for Wednesday’s series finale against the Brewers.

Advice: The streaky 25-year-old outfielder has been more cold than hot as of late — slashing a cringe-inducing .118/.193/.196 with one homer, six RBI and a 23/4 K/BB ratio over 57 plate appearances in 16 games since the calendar flipped to June. He has still provided fantasy managers with power and speed, but eventually something is going to have to give if he can’t make consistent contact. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:59 pm

    • Colten Brewer collects first career save Wednesday
Colten Brewer tossed a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday against the Giants to record his first career save.

Advice: We’re not totally sure what to make of Chicago’s closing situation at the moment as Brewer became the sixth different Cubs reliever to record a save this year. The 31-year-old righty issued a pair of walks, but still managed to escape with his first career save. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:35 pm
    • Patrick Corbin strikes out seven in no-decision
Patrick Corbin pitched well in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday, racking up seven strikeouts over five innings of one-run baseball.

Advice: The 34-year-old southpaw scattered just three hits and three walks on the afternoon. The lone tally against him came as Corbin issued a one-out walk to Gabriel Moreno with the bases loaded in the third inning. He battled back though to strike out Blaze Alexander and then got Geraldo Perdomo to pop out to end the threat. Unfortunately, the Nationals didn’t take the lead until the sixth inning, which cost him any shot at a victory here. Corbin got 11 swings and misses on 90 pitches in the game, posting a solid CSW of 30 percent. He’ll try to further improve upon his 5.60 ERA and 1.60 WHIP when he takes the hill against the Padres on Monday in San Diego. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:33 pm
    • Not in Washington lineup
Senzel is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Senzel is hitless over his last five games, so he will be given a day off to regroup. Trey Lipscomb will start at third base in Senzel's stead. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:58 am

    • Working behind opener
Howard is expected to serve as the Giants' bulk reliever Wednesday against the Cubs behind opening pitcher Erik Miller.

Advice: Howard worked as a starter his last time out Friday against the Angels, but he was roughed up for four earned runs on seven hits and four walks before he was pulled from the game midway through the third inning. The Giants will have him work behind Miller on Wednesday with the hope of generating better results from the right-hander. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:49 am
