    • Taking seat against southpaw
Cruz is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Angels.

Advice: The left-handed hitting Cruz was in the lineup each of the previous two times the Pirates faced a southpaw, but he will begin Tuesday's game on the bench as the Angels send lefty Patrick Sandoval to the hill. Alika Williams will occupy shortstop and bat ninth. Rotowire.com 35 minutes ago

    • Notches first steal
Cronenworth went 2-for-4 with a run and a stolen base Monday in a 6-3 victory versus the Cubs.

Advice: Cronenworth's first theft of the campaign came as part of a double-steal with Fernando Tatis in the sixth inning, and both players subsequently came home on a Jurickson Profar single. Cronenworth doesn't typically offer much in terms of speed, though he did swipe a career-high six bags last season. The first baseman is working on a 10-game hitting streak during which he has slashed .357/.378/.690 with three homers, 10 RBI and seven runs. Rotowire.com Today, 9:57 am
    • Swipes bag Monday
Tatis went 1-for-5 with a run and a stolen base in Monday's 6-3 win against the Cubs.

Advice: Tatis helped generate San Diego's first run, reaching on a leadoff single in the sixth inning, advancing to second on another single, then taking part in a double steal with Jake Cronenworth before both players scored on a Jurickson Profar hit. Tatis has been somewhat quiet at the plate this season, but he's still been moderately productive with a .248/.327/.442 slash line, seven homers, 20 RBI, 28 runs and five stolen bases through 168 plate appearances. He's gone 7-for-23 with a homer, a steal, six runs and three RBI through the first five games of May. Rotowire.com Today, 9:47 am
    • Corey Seager’s three-run homer leads Rangers
Corey Seager hit a three-run homer in the eighth to lead the Rangers past the A’s 4-2 on Monday.

Advice: The Rangers were still scoreless until Seager took Lucas Erceg deep in the eighth. They then added an insurance run in the ninth. The homer was Seager’s third in 33 games this season. He’s obviously still way off his 2023 numbers, but not in such a way that he’s a particularly weaker bet for the rest of the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:31 pm

    • Kirby Yates notches save against A’s
Kirby Yates earned his sixth save with a hitless ninth Monday against the Athletics.

Advice: After settling for a win in a two-inning outing on Sunday, Yates was back closing tonight and had an easy time versus the A’s. David Roberson also pitched in a second straight game tonight, so the Rangers might need to think outside of the box if they have another lead Monday. Perhaps José Leclerc or Josh Sborz could earn a save. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:31 pm
    • Turns tide with three-run homer
Seager went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run Monday in a 4-2 victory against Oakland.

Advice: Texas was down 2-0 heading into the eighth frame before Seager turned the team's fortunes around with a two-out, three-run blast to center field. It was a much-needed big moment for the star shortstop, as he came into the contest batting just .190 in May and .228 overall on the season. After slugging 33 homers and driving in 96 runs last year, Seager has just three homers and 13 RBI through 33 games in 2024. Monday marked the first time he has driven in multiple runs in a contest since Texas' second game of the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:10 pm

    • Keeps rolling with another save
Yates picked up a save against the A's on Monday, walking one batter in a scoreless inning of work.

Advice: Yates got the ball with Texas holding a two-run lead in the ninth inning and walked the second batter he faced to bring the tying run to the plate. However, the veteran reliever got Brett Harris to line into a double play to end the contest and secure his sixth save. Yates still hasn't given up a run this season, and he's yielded just three hits over 15 innings. After resurrecting his career in Atlanta's bullpen last year, he's emerged as one of fantasy's most valuable closers early in the 2024 campaign. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:57 pm
    • Drops appeal, serving five-game ban
Peralta dropped his appeal of a five-game suspension and will be begin serving the ban Monday.

Advice: Peralta was handed the suspension for intentionally throwing at the Rays' Jose Siri in an 8-2 win over Tampa Bay last Tuesday. The right-hander was ejected from that contest, but after appealing the five-game ban, Peralta took the hill Sunday on normal rest and was dealt the loss in the Brewers' series finale with the Cubs. With Peralta ending his appeal, he won't be able to make his next turn through the rotation that would have fallen Friday versus the Cardinals, though he could make his next start as soon as Saturday. The Brewers are likely to either call up Robert Gasser from Triple-A Nashville to start Friday, or the team will treat Friday's contest as a bullpen day. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:35 pm

    • Picks up second win Sunday
Munoz (2-2) got the win against the Astros on Sunday, firing 1.1 perfect innings during which he recorded a strikeout.

Advice: Munoz continued what is turning into his best stretch of pitching this season, locating eight of his 11 pitches for strikes on his way to his ninth scoreless effort in the last 10 appearances, including his fifth straight. The right-hander has whittled his ERA and WHIP to 2.03 and 1.13, respectively, and he'd also recorded saves in three consecutive appearances before Sunday's victory. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:40 am
