    • Michael Conforto blasts two-run homer in win
Michael Conforto went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: With a runner on base in the second inning, Conforto took Hayden Wesneski deep to right center field for a two-run shot to put the Giants on the board. It was Conforto’s ninth homer of the season and only his second in June. The 31-year-old outfielder is slashing .232/.286/.415 with 23 runs scored and 29 RBI across 224 plate appearances. • Marcus Semien goes 0-for-5 in loss to Brewers
Marcus Semien finished 0-for-5 on Wednesday and is in a 4-for-41 slump in his last 10 games.

Advice: Semien started off well enough in April, but he’s been treading water for about two months now, and particularly unfortunate for fantasy leaguers is that he’s attempted just four steals this season, converting three of them. Semien figures to improve from here, but it remains to be seen if he’ll get back to stealing bases at all. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:16 pm
    • Receiving breather Wednesday
Ruiz is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Padres.

Advice: Ruiz will rest up after he started at catcher in each of the Nationals' last four games while going 3-for-13 with a pair of doubles and walks. Drew Millas will get the nod behind the dish in Ruiz's stead. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:12 pm
    • Goes yard again
Ward went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run during Tuesday's 7-5 win over Oakland.

Advice: Ward launched a homer for the second consecutive night, tagging Sean Newcomb for a solo shot in the seventh inning. He's riding a five-game hit streak, batting 7-for-15 (.467) with five extra-base hits, five runs scored and a stolen base during that stretch. Ward also ranks top 20 in the AL in home runs and RBI. • Tallies 12th homer
Paredes went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run Tuesday against the Mariners.

Advice: Paredes went yard in the eighth inning to tally his 12th homer of the season and only his second since May 31. He's hit only .229 in that span with nine RBI and six runs scored. Despite the slow stretch, Paredes still has a .821 OPS and .358 wOBA for the season. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:56 pm

    • Swipes bag in loss
Hoerner went 2-for-4 with a walk, one stolen base and one run scored in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Giants.

Advice: Hoerner hasn't hit all that well in June (.194), but he's logged six steals over 19 contests this month. The infielder is up to 12 thefts on 14 attempts for the season, providing speed atop the Cubs' lineup. He's added a .241/.331/.327 slash line with two home runs, 18 RBI, 36 runs scored, 14 doubles and a triple over 70 contests. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:08 pm

    • Fernando Tatis Jr. (femur) out until second half
Fernando Tatis Jr. expects to be sidelined until after the All-Star break because of his right femoral stress reaction.

Advice: And not just until immediately after the All-Star break, either; this will likely be at least a six-week injury for Tatis. Bryce Johnson will fill in for now, but the Padres need to go get themselves an extra outfielder as soon as possible. Rotoworld Monday, 10:27 pm
    • Homers in Monday's win
Ward went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Monday's 5-1 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Ward gave the Angels all the offense they needed with his first-inning blast. This was his 13th homer of the season, but it's just his second over the last 24 contests. The outfielder may be coming back around at the plate, as he's hit safely in four straight games, but he's at a .241/.326/.431 slash line with 40 RBI, 37 runs scored and three stolen bases through 75 contests overall. • Stress reaction sends Fernando Tatis Jr. to IL
Padres placed OF Fernando Tatis Jr. on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to June 22, with a right femoral stress reaction.

Advice: That’s better than a stress fracture, but it’s not great. The Padres will likely go to Bryce Johnson in right field most days, but he’s not going to replace Tatis’s production. Tatis was hitting .279/.354/.468 with 14 homers in 345 plate appearances. Rotoworld Monday, 3:54 pm
