    • Day off Saturday
Mountcastle isn't in the Orioles' lineup for Saturday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: Mountcastle will get a day to regroup Saturday after going 0-for-10 at the plate over his last three games. Ryan O'Hearn will fill in for Mountcastle at first base, moving Heston Kjerstad into the DH spot while Colton Cowser picks up another start in left field. Rotowire.com Today, 1:37 pm
    • Ryan Mountcastle absent from O’s lineup Saturday
Ryan Mountcastle is not in the Orioles’ starting lineup for Saturday night’s showdown against the Rangers.

Advice: It appears to be nothing more than a routine night off for the 27-year-old slugger. Ryan O’Hearn will spell Mountcastle at first base, allowing Heston Kjerstad to function as the team’s designated hitter while Colton Cowser covers left field against Michael Lorenzen and the Rangers on Friday evening in Baltimore. • Salvador Perez goes 2-for-4, hits 13th home run
Salvador Perez went 2-for-4 with a homer, two RBI and a walk Friday in the Royals’ 10-3 drubbing of the Guardians.

Advice: Perez has hit in five straight after struggling for the first three weeks of the month. He’s thus far posted OPSs of 1.013 in April, .815 in May and .613 in June. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:33 pm

    • Tallies homer, three RBI
Pasquantino went 2-for-4 with a homer, three RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 10-3 win against Cleveland.

Advice: After cracking an RBI single in the third inning, the Kansas City first baseman popped a two-run homer in the eighth for his ninth of the season. Pasquantino has struggled lately, as this marked his first multi-RBI game since June 13 against the Yankees. Overall, the 26-year-old sports a .237/.314/.420 slash line across 328 plate appearances with 53 RBI and 37 runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:20 pm
    • Slugs 13th homer
Perez went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI in Friday's 10-3 victory over the Guardians.

Advice: The veteran Royal crushed a titanic 447-foot solo homer off Triston McKenzie in the second inning to tie the game at 1-1. Perez later tallied an additional RBI with a single to drive Maikel Garcia home in the third. The 34-year-old Perez appears to be heating up this homestand, hitting .368 (7-for-19) with two homers over the past five games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:09 pm

    • Perez has two-hit game in win Thursday
Salvador Perez went 2-for-3 against the Guardians on Thursday.

Advice: Perez has hit safely in four consecutive games. He’s seen his average drop from .321 at the end of May to .283. The Royals lineup desperately needs his bat to wake up again. This was only his third multi-hit game in June, but maybe it’s the start of a hot streak. Rotoworld Thursday, 7:44 pm

    • Tallies three hits
Mountcastle went 3-for-5 with a double and one run scored in Tuesday's 10-8 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Mountcastle has four multi-hit efforts over his last seven games, going 11-for-28 (.393) in that span. While he hasn't hit a homer since June 7, he's still been consistent at the plate while occupying a starting role at first base. The 27-year-old is slashing .281/.325/.476 with 11 homers, 39 RBI, 43 runs scored, 21 doubles, one triple and two stolen bases over 74 games this season. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:54 pm
    • Pasquantino drives in lone run for Royals in loss
Vinnie Pasquantino went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Marlins.

Advice: Pasquantino singled in the first inning to score Maikel Garcia from third after Garcia walked to kick off the inning and subsequently stole two bases. It would be the only run the Royals would score on the night as they found themselves in a pitching duel between Yonny Chirinos and Seth Lugo. Pasquantino now has eight home runs and 48 RBI on the season, and has hit safely in back-to-back games. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:56 pm
    • Ends slump Monday
Perez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-1 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Perez had gone 0-for-14 over his previous four games, and he'd gone seven contests without an extra-base hit. Both droughts ended when the catcher went back-to-back with Vinnie Pasquantino in the fourth inning, with Perez's homer serving as the decisive run. A poor June -- 11-for-57 (.157) over 20 games -- has taken some of the shine off of what was a strong start to the year for Perez. He's now slashing .280/.352/.462 with 12 homers, 46 RBI, 29 runs scored and 15 doubles through 77 contests. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:55 am
