      Reynaldo López went 4 2/3 innings and gave up three runs — two earned — in a start Saturday against the Pirates.

      Advice: Lopez gave up five hits with one walk while striking out three. The right-hander allowed an RBI single in the third, and two more runs scored on a Nick Gonzales double.     • Erick Fedde holds Orioles scoreless in no-decision
      Erick Fedde tossed 6 1/3 scoreless innings with six strikeouts in a no-decision against the Orioles on Saturday.

      Advice: Fedde was excellent on Saturday, keeping a potent Orioles lineup off the board into the seventh inning. A walk and a base hit with one out would knock him from the game at 103 pitches. Jordan Leasure would come in to clean up the frame and strand the baserunners. Fedde scattered three total hits and three walks, striking out six. The 31-year-old right-hander has put himself in position to be a likely trade target over the summer, posting a 2.80 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and a 58/18 K/BB ratio across 64 1/3 innings.     • Stumbles against Brewers
      Crawford (2-3) took the loss Friday, coughing up six runs on seven hits and two walks over 4.1 innings as the Red Sox fell 7-2 to the Brewers. He struck out four.

      Advice: It was the worst performance of the season for the right-hander, who failed to complete five innings for the first time since April 5 and got tagged for more than three earned runs for just the second time in 11 starts. Crawford will take a 2.89 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 61:20 K:BB through 62.1 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in Baltimore.     • Kutter Crawford surrenders six runs in defeat
      Kutter Crawford lasted only 4 1/3 innings and gave up six runs Friday in a loss to the Brewers.

      Advice: Crawford allowed only five hard-hit balls on the night, but he couldn’t stop the bleeding in either the third or the fifth, giving up three runs each inning. After opening up with a 0.66 ERA in his first five starts, Crawford has come in at 4.64 in his last six outings. He’ll pitch in Baltimore next time out, making him a mediocre play in mixed leagues.       Flaherty (1-4) allowed three runs on seven hits across 6.1 innings to take the loss Thursday against the Blue Jays. He walked one and struck out nine.

      Advice: Home runs by Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Daulton Varsho accounted for all of the runs against Flaherty, but the righty otherwise was sharp once again. He's got a solid 3.84 ERA and has struck out 81 batters across 61 innings this year. The problem has been run support, as he's allowed three earned runs or fewer in three of his four losses so far. Despite the lack of wins, Flaherty looks like a promising fantasy asset, and he'll aim to keep rolling in his next scheduled start, which is tentatively set for next Thursday against Boston.       Jack Flaherty allowed three runs and struck out nine in 6 1/3 innings and took the loss against the Blue Jays on Thursday.

      Advice: The runs against Flaherty came on a solo home run by Isiah Kiner-Falefa in the third and a two-run home run by Daulton Varsho in the seventh. He has struck out at least nine batters in four of his 10 starts this season. Eight of those starts have been quality starts, but he’s only won one game due to a lack of support from the Tigers’ offense and bullpen.       Jones didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the Giants, allowing three runs on six hits and three walks across six innings. He struck out five.

      Advice: The rookie delivered a fourth consecutive quality start Wednesday and generated a double play in three separate innings to keep the Giants from putting a runner in scoring position until the fifth frame. In that fifth inning, Jones allowed a double and an RBI single to the first two batters he faced, then he surrendered a two-run homer to Matt Chapman in the sixth. Jones is one quality start shy of the league lead and holds a 3.05 ERA with a 68:10 K:BB across 59.0 innings. He's tentatively scheduled to face the Tigers in Detroit on Tuesday.       Jared Jones pitched well in a tough-luck no-decision on Wednesday, limiting the Giants to three runs on six hits over his six innings of work.

      Advice: The 22-year-old punched out five batters on the evening while allowing three walks. The Giants didn’t break through against him until Jorge Soler smacked an RBI single in the fifth inning. He then served up a two-run bomb to Matt Chapman in the sixth. Jones generated 16 swings and misses on 93 pitches on the night — seven of those on his slider — while registering a strong CSW of 32 percent.       Advice: The right-hander didn't let a baserunner get past second base as he delivered his seventh quality start of the season in 10 trips to the mound. Tuesday's outing was also the first time in 2024 that Ryan had issued multiple free passes.
