    • Homers in extra-inning loss
Melendez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 6-5 extra-inning loss versus the Mariners.

Advice: Melendez has just three hits over his last 10 games, but all of them have been homers. His blast Sunday tied the game at 3-3 in the ninth inning. Melendez is up to seven homers this season, but he's taken a step back overall with a .165/.228/.346 slash line through 197 plate appearances on the year. He's added 19 RBI, 17 runs scored and two stolen bases, and he's still seeing a majority of the playing time in left field despite his poor hitting. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:20 pm

    • Homers, drives in four
Ruiz went 1-for-3 with a home run and four RBI Sunday against Atlanta.

Advice: Ruiz hammered a three-run blast in the fourth to give the Nationals a lead they would never relinquish. He later added a fourth RBI on a sac fly in the fifth that provided the Nationals with their eighth and final run of the contest. It was the fourth homer of the season for Ruiz to go along with 17 RBI and 16 runs as he's struggled to a .202 average through 163 at-bats. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:11 pm
    • Scores twice Sunday
Pages went 1-for-2 with a walk, one RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Pages' RBI came on a sacrifice fly in the second inning to open the scoring. The backup catcher has had few chances to make an impact, and he's rarely done so even when in the lineup. He's slashing .091/.241/.136 with no home runs, five RBI, three runs scored and a double over 29 plate appearances this season. Ivan Herrera seems set to hold down a starting job at catcher until Willson Contreras (forearm) returns, at which point Pages is likely ticketed for Triple-A Memphis. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:03 pm
    • MJ Melendez hits game-tying homer in ninth
MJ Melendez hit a game-tying two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth Sunday against the Royals.

Advice: Melendez also had a two-run homer as part of a four-RBI game Friday. He’d seem to be in desperate need of the surge, though really, we’d argue that the Royals should have sent him down weeks ago. That’s not to say that he can’t turn things around in the majors — maybe he’s starting to do so — but he’s batting .165 and hasn’t had a multi-hit game since May 10. • Logan O’Hoppe fills up box score, walks off Astros
Logan O’Hoppe had a monster day at the dish in Sunday’s 9-7 victory over the Astros, going 4-for-5 with a double and a walk-off home run.

Advice: The hard-hitting 24-year-old backstop reached on an error to start the sixth inning, swiped second base and scored on an RBI single off the bat of Mickey Moniak. He then led off the eighth inning with a double and scored on an RBI double by Zach Neto as the Angels rallied to tie the game. O’Hoppe saved the best for last though, tagging Astros’ closer Josh Hader for a 364-foot (96.4 mph EV) two-run blast on the first pitch that he saw in the ninth inning — sending the home faithful into a frenzy. With his four-hit afternoon, O’Hoppe is now hitting .269/.322/.446 with eight homers, 22 RBI and one solitary stolen base. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:54 pm
    • Resumes rehab in Brooklyn
Alvarez (thumb) resumed his rehab assignment Sunday with High-A Brooklyn, starting at catcher while going 0-for-5 in a 7-6 loss to Aberdeen.

Advice: After going 3-for-14 with a home run and three walks across the first five games of his rehab assignment, Alvarez had been out of the Brooklyn lineup for each of the previous three days while tending to a family matter in his native Venezuela. He rejoined Brooklyn for its final game of the week, and though he came up empty at the plate, getting additional at-bats under his belt is the more pressing concern for Alvarez as he looks to prove he's made a full recovery from the left thumb surgery he underwent in late April. If the Mets are comfortable with Alvarez's health coming out of Sunday's contest, he could be activated from the 10-day injured list for the start of the big club's series with the Marlins that begins Tuesday. • Smashes grand slam
Rutschman went 3-for-5 with a grand slam and two RBI singles during Sunday's 9-2 win over the Rays.

Advice: Rutschman busted the game open with his second career grand slam, giving the Orioles a 9-2 lead in the eighth inning. His contributions didn't end there, driving in two more batters with RBI singles in the third and seventh innings. His six total RBI were a career high, surpassing his previous best of four. Rutschman has generated a hit in 12 of his last 13 games, batting .339 with four home runs and 16 RBI with a 14.8 percent strikeout rate over that span. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:45 pm
    • Keibert Ruiz drives in four in win over ATL
Keibert Ruiz went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in a win over the Braves on Sunday.

Advice: With the Nationals up 1-0 in the fourth inning, Ruiz turned on an inside fastball from Hurston Waldrep crushing it 100.3 mph on a line for a three-run homer. It was Ruiz’s fourth home run of the season and a good reminder that he does have a bit of pop in his bat. The 25-year-old was off to a slow start in June, but had turned the corner in May after missing the start of the season with an illness. While his season-long stats don’t look great, but remains on the radar in one-catcher formats. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:06 pm
    • Adley Rutschman drives in six runs in win
Adley Rutschman went 3-for-5 with a home run and six RBI in a 9-2 win over the Rays on Sunday.

Advice: The 26-year-old got the scoring started with an RBI single in the third inning before adding another RBI single in the 7th to give the Orioles a two-run lead and then a grand slam in the eighth inning to break the game wide open. Rutschman now has 13 home runs and 49 RBI on the season while hitting .306 and is back to staking his claim as the top fantasy catcher in baseball. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:53 pm
