The 40-year-old Morton has had a tough time with Washington this year, yielding 12 earned runs over 10.2 innings in two starts against the Nats. His ERA now sits at 4.12 on the season with a 1.30 WHIP and 68:28 K:BB across 67.2 innings.       Charlie Morton allowed five runs -- four earned -- with three strikeouts over five innings in a loss to the Nationals on Saturday.

      Advice: Morton hit a batter and allowed a base hit to put two runners on in the first inning before Eddie Rosario drove in two runs with a double. The Nationals brought a run in to score on two hits in the second. A pair of doubles in the fourth inning made it four runs for the Nationals. Morton tossed one more inning, ending his day after five frames.       Civale (2-5) took the loss Friday, giving up four runs on seven hits and a walk over five innings as the Rays fell 6-3 to the Orioles. He struck out eight.

      Advice: The right-hander got taken deep by Anthony Santander in the second inning and Ryan Mountcastle in the fifth, just the second time this season Civale has served up multiple homers. The eight strikeouts did tie his season high, helping to salvage some fantasy value, but he's gone 10 straight starts without recording a win, going 0-4 over that stretch with a 6.66 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 50:15 K:BB through 50 innings.       Chris Bassitt struck out seven and allowed one run over eight innings on Friday in a no-decision against the Atletics.

      Advice: Bassit was forced to settle for a no-decision against his former organization in an impressive outing at pitcher-friendly Oakland Coliseum. He gave up only four hits and a pair of walks with a run-scoring ground out from JJ Bleday in the sixth-inning representing the lone tally against him in this one. He generated 15 swinging strikes and finished with a 29 percent CSW. It was a performance that should’ve resulted in a victory, but Toronto’s lineup was only able to muster one run on five hits in a low-scoring tractor pull.       Bassitt allowed a run on four hits and two walks while striking out seven over eight innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Friday.

      Advice: Bassitt tamed one of his former teams, but reliever Chad Green gave up a walk-off hit in the ninth inning. In his longest outing of the year, Bassitt threw 71 of 102 pitches for strikes. He's limited opponents to one run or fewer in five of his 13 starts this season, pitching to a 3.80 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 70:28 K:BB through 73.1 innings.       Aaron Civale allowed four runs in five innings and took the loss against the Orioles on Friday.



      Advice: Civale gave up seven hits, walked one and struck out eight. He’s won just two of his 13 starts this year. Tampa Bay acquired Civale last year and he had a 5.36 ERA in 10 starts. In 13 starts this year, his ERA is 5.91. If the Rays of all teams can’t fix him, I don’t know if any team can. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Cubs at home next week.     • Registers another quality start
      Berrios allowed two runs on six hits and three walks while striking out two batters over six innings in a no-decision against Baltimore on Wednesday.

      Advice: Berrios didn't do much in the strikeout department with just two punchouts, but he was nonetheless very effective in recording his fifth straight quality start. The right-hander has just one win during that span but has put up a very solid 2.73 ERA. Aside from an eight-run, 3.2 inning blowup against Philadelphia on May 7, Berrios has been a model of consistency this season, allowing three or fewer runs in each of his other 12 starts.       Cease (5-5) allowed three runs on four hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings to take the loss Wednesday versus the Angels.

      Advice: Cease took his third loss in five outings. He was done in by the long ball again, as Nolan Schanuel took him deep to lead off the bottom of the first inning and Zach Neto added a two-run blast in the second. Cease has surrendered six homers during his five-start winless stretch. The right-hander is now at a 3.51 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 93:22 K:BB over 77 innings across 13 starts this season. He's not having a bad year by any means -- his 2.6 BB/9 is the best of his career. Cease will look to snap his skid in his next start, tentatively projected to be at home versus the Athletics. He's allowed just seven hits and two walks during that stretch with 11 punchouts. Despite a nearly three-week IL stint, Fairbanks has eight saves in nine attempts and owns a 3.32 ERA overall.
