Walker went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Thursday's 11-1 win over the Angels.

Advice: Walker told Steve Gilbert of MLB.com that he was not happy with how he was handling fastballs, so he put in extra work in the batting cage this week. It paid off immediately when Walker belted a three-run homer off a four-seamer in the first inning to give Arizona a 3-0 lead. "I've been missing fastballs [and fouling them] straight back a little bit and it's been bothering me," Walker said. He followed that up with a solo shot in the third -- a slider this time. The first baseman has three long balls over the last two games and leads the team with 15 home runs and 46 RBI through 69 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:47 am

    • Christian Walker homers twice in blowout victory
Christian Walker plated four runs while homering twice in a blowout victory over the Angels on Thursday.

Advice: Walker made it 3-0 Diamondbacks in the first inning with his roundtripper off Griffin Canning with a pair of runners on. His second homer of the game came in the third inning, and it traveled an estimated 464 feet. That’s fair. Walker remains one of the more underappreciated sluggers in baseball with 15 homers and a .480 slugging mark over the first 69 games of the campaign. Rotoworld Thursday, 10:14 pm

    • Lifts homer in loss
Walker went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 8-3 loss to the Angels.

Advice: Walker has gone 10-for-45 (.222) with two homers and eight RBI over 11 contests in June. The first baseman is up to 13 long balls, 42 RBI, 40 runs scored, 12 doubles, two stolen bases and a .255/.340/.458 slash line through 68 games this season. Walker's power is a bit down from the last two years, but that's at least partially due to bad luck -- entering Wednesday, he had a 50.0 percent hard-hit rate and a 15.1 percent barrel rate this season, up from 40.4 percent and 11.4 percent, respectively, in 2023. • Christian Walker goes yard in loss to Angels
Christian Walker went 2-for-4 with a solo home run against the Angels on Wednesday.

Advice: The Diamondbacks were held without a run through seven innings before Walker led off the eighth with a solo blast off Jose Soriano. Walker is up to 13 homers while slashing .255/.340/.458 with 40 runs scored and 42 RBI across 291 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 9:33 pm

    • Isaac Paredes not starting Sunday vs. Orioles
Isaac Paredes is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Orioles.

Advice: Paredes, 25, will take a break for the first time in nearly a month (May 13). The power-hitting third baseman will get a day of rest with Taylor Walls taking his place in the lineup at shortstop and Jose Caballero moving over to the hot corner. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:48 am

    • Getting breather Sunday
Paredes is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: Paredes will not start for the first time since May 13 against the Red Sox. Over the first two games of the series, the 24-year-old has gone 0-for-7 with two strikeouts. Jose Caballero will shift over to third base Sunday, while Taylor Walls starts at shortstop against Orioles right-hander Grayson Rodriguez. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:42 am

    • Taking seat Thursday
Fry is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Fry will take a seat for Thursday's series finale, as he had been scheduled to head to the bench Wednesday before that game was postponed due to inclement weather. Though his 1.092 OPS on the season ranks first in the majors among all players with at least 140 plate appearances, Fry still hasn't quite locked down a full-time role in Cleveland. He'll be out of the lineup for the second time in three games while the Guardians go with Bo Naylor at catcher and Kyle Manzardo at designated hitter. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:20 am

    • Plates two Wednesday
Paredes went 2-for-4 with two RBI doubles and a run during Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Paredes did his damage early, tagging Braxton Garrett for RBI doubles in the first and third innings. With the pair of doubles, Paredes extended his hit streak to seven games. During that stretch, Paredes is batting .310 with eight RBI and five runs scored. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:02 pm

    • Isaac Paredes plates three runs to lead Rays
Isaac Paredes went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and three RBI on Wednesday night, propelling the Rays to a 5-3 victory over the Marlins.

Advice: Paredes opened the scoring in the contest with a two-run single off of Braxton Garrett in the opening inning and then scored on an RBI double off the bat of Josh Lowe. He also plated Brandon Lowe with an RBI double in the third inning that extended the Rays’ lead to 5-2. The 25-year-old is having a terrific season in the middle of the Rays’ lineup — slashing .298/.383/.498 with 10 homers and 37 RBI. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:04 pm
