    • Smacks homer in win
O'Hearn went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Friday's 3-0 win over the Reds.

Advice: O'Hearn has hit safely in his last six games, going 8-for-19 (.421) in that span. The homer was his first since April 16, but the 30-year-old continues to demolish right-handed pitching. He's up to a .307/.381/.573 slash line with five homers, 11 RBI, 13 runs scored, three doubles and a triple over 84 plate appearances this season. He should continue to see a strong-side platoon role, mainly as the designated hitter but also with occasional looks in the corner outfield or at first base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:13 pm

    • Ryan O’Hearn hits two-run homer versus Reds
Ryan O’Hearn went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer versus the Reds on Friday.

Advice: O’Hearn legitimately looks like one of the AL’s best hitters right now, no matter how ludicrous such a statement would have been a year or two ago. That he doesn’t play versus lefties limits his fantasy value, but it’s probably time for the Orioles to try him against southpaws. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:32 pm

    • Back in lineup
Paredes (arm) is the designated hitter and batting second for Friday's game against the Mets.

Advice: Paredes got the day off Wednesday with some soreness in his arm and body but returns to the Rays lineup in a non-defensive capacity. Considering Friday kicks off a stretch of 19 games in the next 20 days, Paredes' soreness should be monitored but isn't something to be concerned about at the moment. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:06 pm

    • Gets rest day against lefty
O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: The lefty-hitting O'Hearn will head to the bench for the series finale while the Yankees bring southpaw Carlos Rodon to the bump. Adley Rutschman will receive a day off behind the plate and will fill in for O'Hearn as the Orioles' designated hitter. Rotowire.com Thursday, 8:32 am

    • Ryan O’Hearn reaches twice in loss to Yankees
Ryan O’Hearn went 1-for-3 with a single and a walk as the Orioles were shut out at home by the Yankees on Wednesday evening.

Advice: As a team, the Orioles were only able to muster three singles and a pair of walks against Luis Gil and a host of Yankees’ relievers. O’Hearn was the only member of his squad to reach base twice. The 30-year-old is off to a nice start to his 2024 season, slashing .300/.380/.543 with four homers and nine RBI through his first 79 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:09 pm

    • Nursing minor injury
Rays manager Kevin Cash said Paredes is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers due to his body and arm "barking a little bit," Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Cash seemed to suggest that Paredes isn't dealing with anything more than general soreness, with the skipper adding that Wednesday was an optimal time to give the third baseman a breather since he'll benefit from a two-day break with the Rays being off Thursday. Paredes, who had started each of the previous 11 games, should be back in the lineup when the Rays open their series with the Mets on Friday. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:08 am

    • Isaac Paredes not in lineup for Rays on Wed.
Isaac Paredes is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday’s matchup against the Brewers.

Advice: The 25-year-old has been one of the few bright spots through the first month of the season for Tampa Bay, but he’ll get some rest on Wednesday. Paredes leads the team in with seven home runs and 17 RBI in his 29 games played this season. No other player on the roster has more than three round trippers. Rotoworld Wednesday, 8:38 am

    • Receives Wednesday off
Paredes is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

Advice: Paredes will exit the lineup for the first time since April 18, ending a stretch of 11 consecutive starts during which he posted an .848 OPS. Curtis Mead will spell Paredes at third base and will bat ninth. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:19 am

    • Walks off Dodgers
Walker went 3-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Walker bookended the Diamondbacks' scoring with a solo home run in the fourth inning then a two-run, walk-off job in the bottom of the 10th. He closed out the month on a roll, going 10-for-24 (.417) with four homers and nine RBI over the final seven games. The first baseman has a team-high seven home runs and is tied for the team lead with 22 RBI. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 3:54 am
