Quintana has failed to pitch more than four innings in three of his last five outings, but he hasn't given up more than three runs in eight straight, posting a 3.70 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 37:11 K:BB in 41.1 innings over that stretch.       Advice: Ober left the game in line for the lead, but Griffin Jax allowed the tying run in the eighth inning.       Advice: Ober wasn’t as good as he was in his complete game against Oakland, but it was another pretty strong outing. The right-hander’s only run allowed shouldn’t have happened, as Christian Vazquez couldn’t hold onto a ball that would have had Mitch Haniger out by about 15 feet if it doesn’t get by him.       Carlos Estévez didn’t give up a hit while qualifying for a save against the Tigers on Friday.

      Advice: Estévez didn’t give up a hit, didn’t strike anyone out and didn’t issue a walk. He didn’t really have a chance to do any of those things as the Tigers made him throw only nine pitches; eight of those landing for strikes.       Advice: Quintana has struck out 15 batters in his last two starts. He’s also been throwing far more curveballs over his last two starts, 33% and 23% respectively after throwing it under 20% of the time so far this season.
