    • Slated to throw Monday
Walker (toe) is scheduled to do some throwing Monday, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Advice: Walker had to depart Thursday's start against the Mets after a comebacker caught his left foot and injured a toe. He was not able to move the toe Thursday but is feeling better Friday. Walker's status for his next start -- tentatively slated for Wednesday at home versus the Rangers -- is up in the air. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:32 pm

    • No broken bones
X-rays came back negative on Walker's left foot after he was forced to exit Thursday's start against the Mets in the fourth inning, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Walker was hit by a line drive in the fourth inning and limped off the mound. The initial diagnosis was a bruise, and the negative X-rays are also a good sign. Even so, the Phillies are unsure if he will be able to take his next turn through the rotation. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:46 pm

    • Diagnosed with bruise
Walker was diagnosed with a left foot bruise after exiting Thursday's start against the Mets, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Walker exited after being struck by a line drive and limped off the field. The extent of the damage is not yet known, but he is currently undergoing imaging which should clarify his outlook. Spencer Turnbull could be reinserted into the rotation should Walker miss any time. • Early exit from Thursday's start
Walker exited Thursday's start against the Mets after being struck in the left foot by a line drive, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Walker had completed 3.1 innings, allowing two earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out only one. It's unclear if the injury will affect his ability to take his next turn through the rotation, but he'll likely undergo imaging on either Thursday night or Friday. • Taijuan Walker leaves start with foot injury
Taijuan Walker was removed from Thursday’s start against the Mets with a left foot contusion.

Advice: Walker was struck on the left foot by a 99.7-mph line drive from Starling Marte in the fourth inning and will most likely head for further imaging to determine whether he suffered any fractures. He finished with one strikeout and was charged with two runs over 3 1/3 innings of work. Any potential extended absence would presumably lead to Spencer Turnbull returning to Philadelphia’s starting rotation mix, but it sounds like there’s a chance he managed to avoid serious injury. There should be some clarity on his status at some point soon. Rotoworld Thursday, 4:39 pm

    • Fans seven but takes loss
Houck (3-5) took the loss against Tampa Bay on Wednesday, allowing three runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out seven batters over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Houck made it through three scoreless frames before giving up an unearned run in the fourth. The right-hander had a 2-1 lead when he exited with two outs and two runners on base in the sixth, but Greg Weissert gave up consecutive hits in relief to saddle Houck with two more runs (only one of which was earned) along with the loss. Despite the defeat, Houck gave Boston a solid chunk of innings again -- he's completed at least 5.2 frames in each of his nine outings this season. He's pitched much better than his 3-5 record suggests with a 2.17 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 57:11 K:BB through 58 innings. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:17 pm

    • Decent in loss
Carrasco (2-4) took the loss versus the Rangers on Wednesday, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out three over five innings.

Advice: Carrasco traded zeros with Jon Gray for the first four innings, but the Rangers broke through on a two-run home by Marcus Semien in the fifth. This was a small step back for Carrasco, who had posted quality starts in his last two outings. The right-hander is now at a 5.16 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 34:18 K:BB over 45.1 innings this season. He is projected for a home start versus the Mets his next time out. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:43 pm

    • Giants believe Keaton Winn’s injury is mild
Giants’ manager Bob Melvin told reporters on Wednesday that Keaton Winn’s forearm tightness is “pretty mild”.

Advice: At least that’s the initial diagnosis after Winn left Tuesday’s start with the issue. It still sounds like he’s going to miss at least one start — and could still wind up on the injured list — but the Giants aren’t expecting him to miss a significant amount of time. Mason Black is an option to start in his place on Friday. Rotoworld Wednesday, 8:01 pm

    • Carlos Carrasco gives up two runs in loss
Carlos Carrasco allowed two runs with three strikeouts over five innings in a loss against the Rangers on Wednesday.

Advice: Carrasco had work through four scoreless frames, escaping a bases-loaded jam in the fourth with a double-play ground ball. Marcus Semien would get to him in the fifth, going deep for a two-run homer. Carrasco would end his day after five frames, striking out three. The 37-year-old right-hander will take a 5.16 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, and a 34/18 K/BB ratio across 45 1/3 innings into a matchup against the Mets in Cleveland on Tuesday. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:37 pm
