    • Begins hitting, fielding
Perdomo (knee) has started to take live at-bats, hit in the cages and field ground balls, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Advice: Perdomo, who's putting in five-to-seven hours per day while rehabbing at Salt River Fields, expressed optimism that he'll return by the end of the month. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo is not ready to put a timeline on the shortstop's return, but acknowledged Perdomo looks good executing the work he's currently doing. Next up, per the manager, is getting spikes on Perdomo's feet and having him run, cut, make turns and the agility to start and stop. Rotowire.com 22 minutes ago

    • Runs wild in matinee
Lipscomb went 3-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, an RBI and three stolen bases in a 6-3 win over the White Sox during the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader.

Advice: The Nationals didn't record a single extra-base hit in the matinee, but Lipscomb had no problem getting himself into scoring position -- in addition to his 3-for-3 performance on the basepaths, he advanced to second base on a disengagement violation when he induced Chris Flexen to attempt a third pickoff in the second inning. After going 1-for-4 in the nightcap, Lipscomb is slashing .260/.339/.298 through his first 32 big-league games with one homer, 10 steals, nine RBI and 16 runs. Rotowire.com Today, 12:09 am
    • Luis Guillorme goes 1-for-5 in loss to Cards
Luis Guillorme finished 1-for-5 and failed to get his bat on a suicide squeeze called by manager Ron Washington in the Angels’ one-run loss to the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Advice: It was a bad call from Washington and an incredibly difficult pitch to bunt for Guillorme, being that it was almost a foot off the plate, but Washington trashed Guillorme after the game, taking no responsibility for his decision and hanging Guillorme out to dry. Unless Washington cools down and reconsiders that stance, Guillorme might not play as much going forward. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:24 pm

    • Nabs 10th steal
Garcia went 1-for-4 with one RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Mariners.

Advice: Garcia plated an insurance run with his eighth-inning single, and he swiped second shortly after the hit. The third baseman has two steals over the last three games and 10 thefts on the year. He's hit better in May, going 14-for-55 (.254) over 13 contests, lifting his season slash line to .239/.288/.369 with four home runs, 25 RBI and 20 runs scored over 192 plate appearances. • Goes deep again Tuesday
Bregman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Tuesday's 2-1 extra-inning win over the Athletics.

Advice: Bregman entered the Oakland series with one homer on the year, but he's hit three long balls and added two doubles over his last two games. The third baseman has gone 10-for-24 (.417) during a six-game hitting streak, though he's still got a long way to go to get his season-long numbers at an acceptable level. Bregman is slashing .225/.293/.358 with four homers, 18 RBI, 12 runs scored, eight doubles and two stolen bases over 39 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:35 pm

    • Bregman homers in second-straight game vs. A’s
Alex Bregman went 2-for-4 with a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Athletics.

Advice: Bregman swatted his fourth homer of the season in the second inning to give the Astros an early 1-0 lead. Bregman has now homered in back-to-back nights and has hit safely in his last six games. He’s hitting .417 over that span and may finally be starting to turn the corner after getting off to a slow start to the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:25 pm

    • Junior Caminero playing 2B on Tuesday at Triple-A
Rays top prospect Junior Caminero is playing second base on Tuesday for Triple-A Durham.

Advice: It’s a significant development for fantasy purposes as it could expedite Caminero’s return to the majors and open up additional avenues to get his bat in the lineup everyday. The 20-year-old, who entered Tuesday night batting .304 with six homers and one steal in 103 plate appearances over 23 contests this season for Triple-A Durham, hasn’t made an appearance at the keystone since back in 2022. It might also shed some light on Brandon Lowe’s status after he was lifted from a rehab contest earlier this week for precautionary reasons due to oblique discomfort. The Rays are currently rolling with Richie Palacios at second base in the majors right now. It feels like only a matter of time before Caminero is back in Tampa Bay. • Bryan Ramos day-to-day with quad tightness
Bryan Ramos is day-to-day with left quad tightness.

Advice: White Sox manager Pedro Grifol confirmed that Ramos suffered the injury while going first-to-third in the fifth inning of the opening contest of Tuesday’s doubleheader against the Nationals. The 22-year-old rookie has been phenomenal for Chicago since being called up earlier this month, so the hope here is that he won’t require a lengthy absence. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:51 pm

    • Trey Lipscomb steals three bases in Nats’ win
Trey Lipscomb went 3-for-3 with an RBI and three stolen bases in the Nationals’ win over the White Sox in the opening game of Tuesday’s doubleheader.

Advice: The unheralded 23-year-old rookie ran wild in the opening contest of Tuesday’s twin bill and is already up to 10 thefts this season in just 31 contests. He doesn’t offer enough over-the-fence pop to generate interest in shallow mixers, but the speed is going to make him a factor in deeper mixed leagues going forward, especially if he’s playing everyday for Washington.
