Advice: Greene has been hot lately, as he's riding a four game hitting streak, during which he's gone 8-for-16 with two home runs. He's up to 17 long balls this season, which is already a new career high. Advice: Keith hit a solo blast in the third inning, then followed that up with a two-run shot in the fifth. The 22-year-old now has seven home runs this season, with four of them coming in the last 10 games. During that stretch, he's batting .286 with a .945 OPS. Keith seems to be delivering on his prospect potential after a slow start to the year, and he could be a difference maker in fantasy leagues the rest of the way if he keeps this up. Ceddanne Rafaela homers in 10th to lead Red SoxAfter Masataka Yoshida’s homer tied it in the ninth, Ceddanne Rafaela hit a two-run homer in the 10th to propel the Red Sox past the Yankees 5-3 on Friday.
Advice: Yoshida hit a game-tying homer off Clay Holmes, and Rafaela followed with a go-ahead blast off Tommy Kahnle in the 10th. It was Rafaela’s 10th homer, which is impressive for a 23-year-old with such middling exit velocity numbers. Better plate discipline would be nice, but since Rafaela has proved adept at shortstop and in center field, he seems like a long to become a long-term regular. Advice: This was Munoz's first save since June 18 -- he blew a save June 24, which was his only opportunity over his last five appearances. The right-hander has seen the most high-leverage spots rather than being strictly confined to the ninth inning. He faced the 9-1-2 hitters Friday to earn his 14th save in 16 chances this year. Munoz has added a 1.54 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 43:14 K:BB across 35 innings while adding six holds. With Munoz's usage being more flexible, Ryne Stanek has forced his way into the closer conversation, though the Mariners' recent poor play hasn't led to many save chances for either reliever. Bibee went 3-1 with a terrific 40:4 K:BB in five June starts and was 5-1 over his previous 10 outings before Friday's loss. He now owns a 3.67 ERA with a 115:24 K:BB through 98 frames. Colt Keith’s first multi-homer game powers TigersColt Keith homered twice and drove in three runs on Friday night, powering the Tigers to a 5-4 victory over the Reds in Cincinnati.
Advice: It’s the first multi-homer game of the 22-year-old rookie’s big-league career. Keith obliterated a 413-foot (104.2 mph EV) solo shot off of Carson Spiers in the third inning that extended the Tigers’ lead to 2-0. He furthered that advantage with a 415-foot (108.8 mph EV) two-run bomb in the fifth inning that made it 4-0.
