    • Jake Cronenworth hits 10th homer in Padres’ win
Jake Cronenworth homered, doubled and scored twice as the Padres topped the A’s 6-1 on Monday.

Advice: Cronenworth has two homers in three games after going his previous 19 games without one. His exit velocity numbers have trended downwards after a surprisingly hot start in April, but he’s still performing better than his decline the previous two seasons indicated he would; he’s back up to .267/.331/.463 after tonight. He has as many homers (10) in 288 plate appearances this year that he did in 522 last season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:31 pm
    • Drives in three in win
O'Hearn went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI in Monday's 5-2 win over the Rays.

Advice: O'Hearn saw a seven-game hitting streak snapped Sunday, but he bounced back quickly. The 30-year-old helped the Orioles pull away Monday with a two-run double in the fifth inning and an RBI single in the seventh. O'Hearn continues to be a force versus right-handed pitchers, slashing .287/.344/.489 with nine home runs, 24 RBI, 25 runs scored, two stolen bases, six doubles and a triple over 189 plate appearances this year in a strong-side platoon role. • Swats second homer
Soderstrom went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a loss to the Padres on Monday.

Advice: Soderstrom gave Oakland an early lead with a solo homer in the second inning, but that was the only run the team ended up generating. The long ball was Soderstrom's first since his first game of the campaign, which took place May 8 against Texas. He's struggled to a .200 batting average with just six RBI over 71 plate appearances on the campaign, though his 14.1 percent walk rate has kept his OBP at a respectable .324. • Swats homer in victory
Cronenworth went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double and two total runs against Oakland in Monday's 6-1 win.

Advice: Cronenworth put San Diego's first run on the board with a solo homer in the third inning, and he scored again after getting hit by a pitch in the seventh. The second baseman also doubled in the contest, resulting in his first game with multiple extra-base hits since May 3. Cronenworth has put together a modest five-game hitting streak during which he's gone 8-for-19 with two homers, two doubles, six RBI and four runs. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:51 pm
    • Suffers fractured big toe
Renfroe has been diagnosed with a broken left big toe, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Renfroe was unable to continue Monday after fouling a pair of pitches off his left foot, and the team later revealed that he had suffered a toe fracture. Kansas City has yet to establish a timeline for his return, but Renfroe will almost certainly require a trip to the injured list to rehab. Dairon Blanco replaced Renfroe in right field on Monday while M.J. Melendez came in to play left, but the Royals could opt to promote Drew Waters from Triple-A as the corresponding move. • Hunter Renfroe suffers fractured toe versus Yankees
Hunter Renfroe was diagnosed with a fracture in his left big toe after fouling a ball off his foot and leaving Monday’s game.

Advice: Renfroe likely will land on the IL, though this may not be a long absence if it’s just a hairline fracture. Unfortunately, this comes just as Renfroe had started to get it together; he’d hit .326 with three homers in his last 15 games to raise his OPS from .478 to .638. The Royals could call up Drew Waters and give him a look in right field. Adam Frazier and Dairon Blanco could also see additional time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:47 pm

    • Exits early Monday
Renfroe left Monday's game against the Yankees due to an apparent lower-body injury, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Renfroe fouled two pitches off his foot during an at-bat in the third inning, and he was removed from the matchup shortly after. The team should have another update on the outfielder's status after running more tests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:28 pm

    • Hunter Renfroe exits game after four innings
Hunter Renfroe, who fouled two pitches off his foot in the third, was lifted from Monday’s game after four innings.

Advice: It seems likely that those two facts are related. MJ Melendez replaced him in the contest against the Yankees. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:16 pm

    • Optioned to Triple-A
Smith was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Monday, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.

Advice: Smith will head to Triple-A after struggling to find consistent opportunities with the major-league roster, batting .275 with two homers, seven RBI and five runs scored over 40 total at-bats since the beginning of May. The 27-year-old will now likely get extended run with Reno and he'll almost assuredly get another shot with the Diamondbacks down the road this season. In the meantime, Christian Walker will continue to handle the lion's share of work at first base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:42 pm
