    • Cole Ragans surrenders one run in no-decision
Cole Ragans limited the Mariners to one run in six innings and struck out nine in a no-decision Sunday.

Advice: The Ragans-George Kirby matchup met expectations, resulting in a 1-1 tie when Ragans departed. Ragans allowed one run or fewer for the eighth time in 14 starts this season. His two bad outings this year have been particularly bad, accounting for 14 of the 27 earned runs he’s allowed, but he’s been terrific overall and should have been than a 4-4 record to show for it. • Swipes bag
Buxton went 0-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Pirates.

Advice: Buxton went hitless but managed to reach base on a hit-by-pitch in the 10th inning. He recorded his third stolen base in five tries this season and his first since May 28. Buxton has had a brutal start to the month of June, batting just .115 (3-for-26) with one RBI, one run scored and one stolen base. The 30-year-old continues to start in centerfield for the Twins due to his defensive prowess, but he is not a reliable option for fantasy managers. Rotowire.com 33 minutes ago

    • Lourdes Gurriel Jr. drives in two in win over Pads
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. went 2-for-5 with a double and a pair of RBI on Sunday as the Diamondbacks throttled the Padres in San Diego.

Advice: The 30-year-old outfielder smacked a two-run double off of Adam Mazur in the second inning and rode home on Jake McCarthy’s two-run blast. He also singled in the fourth inning and raced around to score on a two-out RBI single by Eugenio Suarez. With his two-hit attack, Gurriel is now hitting .247/.287/.405 with nine homers, 39 RBI and three swipes on the season. Rotoworld 33 minutes ago
    • Ryan McMahon in 7-for-57 slump
Ryan McMahon went 0-for-4 on Sunday, leaving him 7-for-57 in his last 16 games.

Advice: McMahon’s OPS has dropped from .891 to .780 during the stretch, putting him much closer to his usual career numbers. McMahon’s exit velocity numbers are better than ever, and there’s reason to think he’s a truly improved player this season. Still, there was little chance he was going to keep batting .300, as he did for most of the first eight weeks. Rotoworld Today, 3:49 pm

    • Taking seat Sunday
Schneider is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: Schneider started the previous 14 games but will sit Sunday amid a 3-for-23 slump. Spencer Horwitz will step in at second baes and bat leadoff in the series finale at Oakland. Rotowire.com Today, 11:19 am

    • Davis Schneider getting Sunday off vs. Athletics
Davis Schneider is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Athletics.

Advice: Schneider gets a day of rest against Mitch Spence and the Oakland staff. In his place, Spencer Horwitz will not only get the start at second base, but hit at the top of the Toronto lineup. Rotoworld Today, 10:15 am

    • Rejoining lineup Sunday
Moreno (illness) is starting behind the plate and batting eighth Sunday at San Diego.

Advice: The 24-year-old catcher was a late scratch Saturday due to an illness but is back in the lineup for Sunday's series finale. Moreno struggled to a .220/.292/.288 slash line during May but has rebounded early in June with a .761 OPS through seven contests. Rotowire.com Today, 10:05 am

    • Gabriel Moreno (illness) back in lineup Sunday
Gabriel Moreno (illness) is back in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Padres.

Advice: Moreno was scratched from the lineup Sunday to an illness, but the 24-year-old is feeling well enough to hit eighth and handle catching duties against the Padres on Sunday. Rotoworld Today, 9:58 am

    • Jon Gray likely to start Wednesday vs. Dodgers
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy told reporters that Jon Gray is likely to start Wednesday against the Dodgers.

Advice: Bochy said that Gray is written “in pencil” to start that game, so it’s not a lock that the right-hander will get the ball in that contest. The right-hander threw 2 1/3 innings of scoreless baseball Saturday in relief after being activated off the 15-day injured list. Gray has been very effective when healthy in 2024 with a 2.12 ERA and 60/18 K/BB over 59 1/3 innings. Rotoworld Today, 9:06 am
