    Freddy Peralta allowed two runs over five innings and struck out six versus the Rangers on Monday.

    Advice: Peralta got 15 whiffs tonight, but he ran up a pitch count of 104 in five innings, preventing him from working any deeper into the game. He’s finished six innings just once in his last six starts, which is a real problem given that he’s supposed to be the ace of a rotation that’s quite shorthanded at the moment.   • Ragans records 11 strikeouts on way to fifth win
    Cole Ragans allowed one run in six innings and got the win in the Royals’ 4-1 victory over the Marlins on Monday.

    Advice: Ragans gave up four hits, walked three and struck out 11. The win was his fifth of the season and first since May 22nd against the Tigers. Ragans is third in all of baseball with 120 strikeouts on the season trailing only Tyler Glasnow and Garrett Crochet. He lowered his ERA to 3.03 on the year. The 26-year-old left-hander is set to face the Guardians at home this weekend.

  • Bryan Woo to undergo MRI on ailing hamstring
    Bryan Woo will undergo an MRI on his right hamstring on Tuesday.

    Bryan Woo exited his start Monday with right hamstring tightness, according to the Mariners.

    Advice: Everything is tightness initially now, so that seemingly positive diagnosis means nothing at the moment. If Woo needs to miss some time, but Mariners might go to Jhonathan Diaz in the rotation. Emerson Hancock is the usual fallback, but he’s dealing with a back problem at the moment.     Advice: Woo left his start with the team trainer after suffering what looked to be a right leg injury, and he's since been diagnosed with a hamstring issue. The team should have a better idea of whether he'll require a trip to the injured list after further evaluation, and he's set to undergo an MRI on Tuesday, per Daniel Kramer of MLB.com.     Woo left Monday's contest in the fourth inning due to an apparent right leg injury, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

    Advice: Woo pitched three scoreless innings, allowing four hits while striking out three batters to open his outing Monday. He then surrendered a leadoff single to Richie Palacios in the bottom of the fourth inning and was removed thereafter with a right leg injury.   • Pitches into seventh versus CWS
    Olson (2-8) earned the win after he pitched 6.1 innings, surrendering two runs on four hits while striking out three batters in Sunday's 11-2 win over the White Sox.

    Advice: Olson tossed six scoreless frames before running into some trouble in the top of the seventh, ultimately exiting the game with one out and runners on second and third. Both runs came around to score on a two-out single by Nicky Lopez off reliever Will Vest. Nonetheless, Olson has now recorded back-to-back quality starts after a three-start stretch during which he gave up 17 earned runs over 14.2 innings to open June.   • Reese Olson pitches into seventh inning in win
    Reese Olson allowed two earned runs across 6 1/3 innings on Sunday against the White Sox. He struck out three, walked none, and earned the win.

    Advice: Olson was fantastic in this one. He settled into cruise control after being spotted a nine-run lead after in the second inning and both earned runs on his ledger game via inherited runners after he left the game.
