• Jazz Chisholm Jr. leaves game with tight biceps
Jazz Chisholm Jr. was removed from Saturday’s game against the Mariners due to tightness in his right biceps.

Advice: The 26-year-old outfielder had been 1-for-2 with a single and a strikeout when Vidal Brujan surprisingly hit for him in the sixth inning. The severity of the injury is not yet known, so be sure to check his status on Sunday. It may be wise for fantasy managers to have a contingency plan in place for next week in the event that Chisholm requires a trip to the injured list. Rotoworld Today, 5:12 pm

  • Cruz blasts 10th home run in win Saturday
Oneil Cruz went 1-for-3 with two runs scored, a walk and a solo home run against the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Cruz’ home run was his 10th of the year. The solo shot came against Rays starter Zach Eflin in the first inning with two outs. It was Cruz’ first home run since June 8th. While he hits the ball hard when he connects, Cruz’ 32 percent strikeout percentage is still quite high. Maybe he’ll get his power stroke going in the second half of the year to help prop up all the strikeouts.

  • Oneil Cruz homers, scores twice in win over Rays
Oneil Cruz homered and scored two runs in a 4-2 win for the Pirates on Saturday.

Advice: Cruz obliterated a Zack Eflin pitch for a 445-foot dinger to tie the game at 1-1 in the first. The 25-year-old also drew a walk and came around to score a few batters later. There are going to be ups and downs with Cruz, but the power is obviously legitimate, and helps mitigate some of the contact issues. Rotoworld Today, 3:16 pm

  • Not starting Saturday
Burger isn't in the Marlins' lineup for Saturday's game against Seattle.

Advice: Burger will get a day to clear his head Saturday after going just 1-for-21 at the plate over his last five games. Emmanuel Rivera will take over at the hot corner and bat eighth in Burger's place. Rotowire.com Today, 11:07 am

  • Jazz Chisholm Jr. in Saturday’s lineup vs. M’s
Jazz Chisholm Jr. (hamstring) is in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Mariners.

Advice: Chisholm is back in center field for the second straight contest after being scratched earlier this week due to right hamstring tightness. It doesn’t look like it’s going to be an issue going forward, but fantasy managers should continue to keep a close eye on his status in the coming days. Rotoworld Today, 9:41 am

  • Homers in loss
Wong went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-2 loss to Cincinnati.

Advice: Wong belted a solo home run in the second inning, his sixth of the season, and extended a hitting streak to 11 games (15-for-39). He's batting .335/.397/.471 for the season. There's no dramatic changes in his contact metrics to explain his breakout, and the BABIP (.395) warning signs are still there, but Wong has managed to avoid a regression. • Goes deep in loss
Tovar went 3-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's loss to Washington.

Advice: Tovar was stuck in a small 1-for-18 slump over his previous five games before Friday's strong performance. He put the Rockies on the board with a solo shot in the third inning, giving him 12 homers this year and four in his last 13 contests. Tovar is slashing .285/.312/.487 with 37 extra-base hits and 40 runs scored through 75 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:05 pm

  • Ezequiel Tovar homers, collects three hits in loss
Ezequiel Tovar homered while going 3-for-5 in a loss Friday to the Nationals.

Advice: The Rockies were able to pick up three homers off DJ Herz, and Tovar hit a solo shot off Herz in the third for his 12th homer of the year. The 22-year-old shortstop has put together a very strong first half of 2024 in his second full season with a .280 average, 799 OPS and 36 RBI. There’s massive upside for Tovar, especially when you remember his home park. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:41 pm

  • Returning to lineup
Chisholm (hamstring) will start in center field and bat leadoff in Friday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: Chisholm was a late scratch from Wednesday's lineup due to a tight right hamstring, but it will be just a one-game absence, as he's feeling well enough to give it a go for the Marlins after Thursday's off day. He enters play Friday having slashed .394/.447/.636 over his last 10 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:15 pm
