• Jordan Westburg reaches five times in losing effort
Jordan Westburg went 4-for-4 with an RBI on Tuesday in the Orioles’ loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Westburg wound up reaching base safely in all five of his plate appearances on Tuesday night in a high-scoring affair at Camden Yards. The 25-year-old infielder has vastly outperformed expectations in the first half, batting .283 (79-for-279) with 40 runs scored, 13 homers, 46 RBI and six stolen bases across 73 games. • Ranger Suárez stumbles in loss to Tigers
Ranger Suárez allowed four runs over six innings on Tuesday in a loss to the Tigers.

Advice: Suárez was simply outdueled by Tigers ace Tarik Skubal on Tuesday night at Comerica Park as the pair traded zeroes until the fifth inning when Detroit’s lineup struck for four runs on five hits in the frame. He finished with four punchouts and didn’t hand out a free pass. It was just the second time this season through 16 starts that he’s allowed four earned runs or more. He’s in line for an extremely favorable home matchup on Sunday against the Marlins. Rotoworld Today, 5:50 pm
  • Sidelined at least four weeks
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said Tuesday that Marte (knee) will be sidelined for "at least four weeks," Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Advice: Marte will be shut down for 15 days to allow a right knee bone bruise to heal and will need time to ramp things back up after that. A rehab assignment at some point before activation seems likely. Ben Gamel replaced Marte on the roster and could see some reps in right field, although DJ Stewart and Tyrone Taylor should be higher in the pecking order. Taylor is starting in right Tuesday after Stewart started there in the Mets' previous game Sunday. Rotowire.com Today, 1:22 pm

  • Mendoza: Starling Marte (knee) to miss four weeks
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters Starling Marte (knee) is expected to miss at least four weeks.

Advice: It’s a significant loss for the Mets as Marte finally landed on the injured list ahead of Tuesday’s series opener against the Yankees after playing through a right knee issue for an extended period. The 35-year-old veteran corner outfielder has been diagnosed with a bone bruise and Mendoza indicated that it’ll be at least one month before he’s ready to return. That updated timeline means he’ll be sidelined until at least after next month’s All-Star break, if not longer. Rotoworld Today, 1:08 pm

  • Getting day off
Arozarena is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: Arozarena will get his first true day off of June on Tuesday, with Josh Lowe filling in at DH while Jonny DeLuca plays left field. Arozarena has generated a hit in nine of his last 10 games. Rotowire.com Today, 12:34 pm

  • Lands on IL with knee bone bruise
The Mets placed Marte on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a right knee bone bruise.

Advice: Marte was given the diagnosis following an MRI and has been prescribed 15 days of rest. The hope is that he will be able to ramp back up after that point, but with two weeks of no activities, a return before the All-Star break seems unlikely. DJ Stewart and Tyrone Taylor will likely be the primary beneficiaries of Marte's absence. Rotowire.com Today, 11:59 am

  • Mets place Starling Marte (knee) on 10-day IL
Mets placed OF Starling Marte on the 10-day injured list with a right knee bone bruise.

Advice: Marte picked up the knee injury Saturday against the Cubs, and he’s been told he needs to rest for at least 15 days before he can return to action. He could need a rehab assignment after, so Marte may not return until around the All-Star break. Ben Gamel is up to take Marte’s place on the roster. Rotoworld Today, 11:53 am

  • One bad inning Monday
Schwellenbach (1-3) took the loss Monday against the Cardinals, giving up four runs on eight hits over five innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.

Advice: The rookie didn't pitch badly overall, but he lost focus in the third inning and allowed all four of the runs against him thanks to five hits and a wild pitch. It was the first time in five big-league starts that Schwellenbach hasn't issued a free pass, and he's gone three straight outings without serving up a homer, providing hope that he can provide some stability to the back of Atlanta's rotation. The 24-year-old right-hander lines up to make his next start at home this weekend against the Pirates. Rotowire.com Today, 6:28 am
  • Drives in three Monday
Meneses went 3-for-5 with a double and three RBI in Monday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Padres.

Advice: All three of Meneses' hits drove in a run to erase the Padres' early 3-0 lead. He's been hitting well lately, going 15-for-46 (.326) with 10 RBI and five extra-base hits over his last 13 games. Meneses is at a .246/.302/.327 slash line for the year while adding three home runs, two stolen bases, 40 RBI and 18 runs scored over 275 plate appearances. He had a slow start in 2023 as well, but he'd need a big second half to get up to his level from last year (.275/.321/.401). Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:36 pm
