    • Dansby Swanson homers in win over Giants
Dansby Swanson hit a two-run homer on Tuesday, leading the Cubs to a 5-2 victory over the Giants.

Advice: Swanson kicked off the scoring in this one with a two-run blast off Giants ace Logan Webb in the second inning. It was his seventh long ball of the year, but third time he’s gone deep since June 1. He’s batting just .192 (20-for-104) with four homers and one steal over his last 30 games. • Rebounds vs. San Diego
Nola didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Padres, allowing three runs on four hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Nola held San Diego scoreless through his first five innings before ultimately allowing three runs in the sixth, including a pair on a Luis Campusano homer. Still, it was a solid bounce-back outing overall for the 31-year-old Nola, who was tagged for eight runs in his last start against the Red Sox. Nola's 8-3 on the year with a 3.54 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 84:25 K:BB across 15 starts (94 innings). He's currently lined up to face the Tigers on the road early next week in his next outing. • Locks down seventh save
Diaz earned the save in Tuesday's 7-6 victory over San Francisco, firing a scoreless inning during which he allowed one hit.

Advice: After an RBI double by Pete Alonso provided New York with the lead in the top of the ninth inning, Diaz entered in the bottom of the frame to gather his second save since returning from the injured list June 13. The flamethrowing closer yielded a leadoff single to Jonah Heim before inducing a groundball double play and flyout for his seventh save this season. After struggling with an 8.68 ERA over 9.1 innings in May, Diaz looks healthy again and has regained control of the Mets' closer role. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 8:58 pm

    • Edwin Díaz works scoreless ninth for save
Edwin Díaz pitched a scoreless ninth with a one-run lead for his seventh save Tuesday against the Rangers.

Advice: The ninth started with a bloop single that third baseman Mark Vientos probably should have caught in shallow left, but it appeared he got spooked by Brandon Nimmo’s arrival. Fortunately, the ball was hit by Johan Heim, who settled for a single when an average runner might have gotten a double. A double play followed, and Díaz then got a flyout to end the game. • Blasts homer, steals a base
Swanson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a steal in Tuesday's win over the Giants.

Advice: The veteran shortstop opened the game's scoring by drilling a 401-foot two-run homer off Logan Webb in the second inning. Swanson later added his fifth stolen bag of the season in the eighth. The big performance was a welcome sight for the 30-year-old, as he entered the evening on a cold spell where he'd gone hitless in 20 plate appearances over his last six games. Overall, Swanson owns a .209/.286/.255 slash line in 245 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 8:38 pm
    • Aaron Nola pitches fine in no decison
Aaron Nola allowed three runs on four hits in six innings in a no-decision against the Padres.

Advice: Nola struck out six and walked just one on the day while posting just 11 whiffs on 51 swings for a 22 percent whiff rate and 24 percent CSW. The curve was the only pitch that really got swings-and-misses for Nola on Tuesday, but it was enough to stifle the Padres offense. He now has a 3.54 ERA on the season and gets a much easier start against the Tigers next week. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:44 pm

    • Burleson has two hits, HR in loss
Alec Burleson went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored in a loss to the Marlins on Tuesday.

Advice: It was Burleson’s 10th home run of the season to go along with 25 RBIs. It’s also his fifth home run in June alone. The 25-year-old continues to make a lot of contact while hitting near the top of the Cardinal’s lineup and with the power starting to tick up, he deserves to be in fantasy lineups in almost all league types. • Nolan Arenado out of lineup Tuesday vs. Marlins
Nolan Arenado is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Arenado has not been at his best lately, and after going 0-for-6 in Monday’s extra-innings win over the Marlins, the Cardinals will give their third baseman a day off. Brandon Crawford is getting his first ever start at third base while Arenado rests. Rotoworld Tuesday, 12:51 pm

    • Lands on injured list
The Blue Jays placed Bichette on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to June 15, with a right calf strain.

Advice: The 26-year-old hasn't seen the field since Friday due to the calf issue and will be sidelined for at least another week after being diagnosed with a strain. According to Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca, manager John Schneider expects Bichette to return from the injured list when first eligible June 25. Isiah Kiner-Falefa is starting at shortstop Tuesday and could operate as Toronto's primary option there for the immediate future, and Orelvis Martinez was called up and should also see infield action while Bichette is sidelined.
