      José Alvarado fired a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday against the Cubs to record his 13th save of the season.

      Advice: Alvarado was summoned to protect a two-run lead in the bottom of the ninth inning at Wrigley Field and managed to work around a one-out single by David Bote to preserve the victory.       Advice: Burleson fizzled late in June, going 1-for-14 over his last four contests, but he started July on a high note.
