• Breaks home run drought
McGuire went 2-for-3 with a solo home run during Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Rays.

Advice: McGuire went yard in the ninth inning off of Erasmo Ramirez, marking the catchers' third homer of the season and his first since April 7. McGuire has been operating as the backup to Connor Wong in May, and he hasn't shown enough at the plate to warrant more playing time since, batting .214 with Tuesday's long ball being his only extra-base hit during the month. • Collects three hits
Paredes went 3-for-5 with a two-RBI double during Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Paredes plated Josh Lowe and Randy Arozarena on a first-inning double to give the Rays an early lead. However, Tampa Bay wouldn't score again in the game, going 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position outside of Paredes' double. The third baseman has generated multiple hits in five of his last 10 games and leads the Rays in home runs and RBI on the year. Rotowire.com 58 minutes ago

  • Steals home, goes yard
Duran went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a steal of home base during Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Rays.

Advice: The Red Sox executed a first-and-third double-steal perfectly in the eighth inning, as the throw to second to catch Rafael Devers stealing was cut off early and returned to home wasn't in time to tag the speedy Duran. Duran has hit safely in seven straight games, batting 10-for-27 (.370) with a pair of triples, solo home runs and stolen bases during that stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 9:45 pm

  • Abraham Toro hits go-ahead homer in eighth
Abraham Toro hit a go-ahead homer in the bottom of the eighth Tuesday as the A’s came back to defeat the Rockies 5-4.

Advice: Toro’s blast came after Seth Brown tied the game with a two-run homer in the seventh. Toro, who was supposed to become a reserve due to the J.D. Davis acquisition at the end of the spring, has won back his job by hitting .294/.344/.459 in 183 plate appearances. His current .341 BABIP is more than 100 points higher than his .229 mark over his first five seasons. Rotoworld Today, 9:43 pm

  • Ezequiel Tovar homers twice against A’s
Ezequiel Tovar hit a pair of solo homers Tuesday in a losing cause against the A’s.

Advice: In spite of his willingness to swing at anything and everything, Tovar has managed to hit .279/.313/.468 this season. His second homer today, projected at 443 feet, was the second longest of his career and easily the longest among those to come away from Coors Field. He’s actually hit 14 of his 23 career homers on the road, though his batting average is far better at home (.287 to .229). Rotoworld Today, 9:42 pm

  • Homers off bench Tuesday
Fry went 1-for-1 with a two-run home run and a walk in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Mets.

Advice: Fry didn't start Tuesday, but he delivered a two-run home run when he pinch hit for Kyle Manzardo in the sixth inning. Over his last 11 games, Fry has gone 10-for-27 (.370) with four homers, nine RBI, 10 runs scored, two stolen bases and an 8:6 BB:K. The 28-year-old is taking advantage of every opportunity he gets despite lacking an everyday spot in the lineup. He's up to a .338/.476/.588 slash line with five homers, 18 RBI, 19 runs scored and three steals over 105 plate appearances this season. Fry has already surpassed his numbers from 113 plate appearances in 2023 in all of the major fantasy-relevant categories. Rotowire.com Today, 9:19 pm

  • Kyle Tucker homers twice to lead Astros
Kyle Tucker hit his 16th and 17th homers before scoring the winning run in the 10th as the Astros bested the Angels 6-5 on Tuesday.

Advice: Tucker’s homers couldn’t have been much different. The first was a 340-foot shot to the opposite field that would have a homer in Houston and nowhere else, according to Statcast. The second was a no-doubter that was pulled 407 feet to right. Tucker now leads the majors in homers by one over Gunnar Henderson. His 1.074 OPS puts him behind only Shohei Ohtani. • Luis Rengifo hits two-run homers against Astros
Luis Rengifo had a two-run homer and an RBI single versus the Astros on Tuesday.

Advice: Rengifo definitely wasn’t Ron Washington’s favorite player at the beginning of the year, but he’s been one of the best Angels thus far, having hit .316/.366/.474 in 124 plate appearances. Statcast thinks he’s way overachieving, given that his exit velocity numbers are significantly worse than his career marks, but things will probably even out there somewhat; his .840 OPS won’t quite hold up, but his exit velocity numbers should get better. • Pair of hits, homer
France went 2-for-4 with a solo home run during Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Yankees.

Advice: The first baseman clubbed his fifth homer of the campaign, taking Dennis Santana yard in the seventh frame. Across his last eight games, France is batting .276 with three home runs and hasn't struck out multiple times in a contest during that stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 8:58 pm
