      Moreno went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, three walks and two total runs scored in Monday's 6-5 win over the Reds.

      Advice: The homer was Moreno's first of the year, and this was the second game of the season in which he had multiple walks. He's gotten off to a slow start with the bat, hitting .248 through 33 contests, but he's made up for it with a 12.8 percent walk rate, easily the best of his career. Moreno has added 16 RBI, 12 runs scored, six doubles and a triple through 117 plate appearances while serving as Arizona's primary catcher. Rotowire.com 9 minutes ago

      Montgomery allowed three runs on six hits and three walks while striking out seven over 5.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Reds on Monday.

      Advice: Montgomery turned in an okay outing, missing out on a quality start for the second time in five games for the Diamondbacks. He's pitched to a 4.76 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 17:9 K:BB over 28.1 innings this season. Montgomery's had a bit of trouble racking up strikeouts so far as he's had to get up to speed on the job after signing with Arizona in late March.     • Alexis Díaz blows save, gets loss vs. Diamondbacks
      Alexis Díaz blew a save while picking up a loss Monday by allowing two runs and getting just one out Monday against the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: The Díaz experience in 2024 has been interesting, to say the least, and probably is too kind of a description. The right-hander threw 9-of-21 pitches for strikes while issuing a pair of walks, and he gave up a two-run single to blow his second save and pick up his second loss.     • Jordan Montgomery shaky in start against Reds
      Jordan Montgomery allowed three runs over 5 1/3 innings while not qualifying for a decision against the Reds on Monday.

      Advice: Montgomery allowed six hits with three walks, and he was able to strike out seven. He allowed a two-run double in the second inning to Spencer Steer, and the third run came after the southpaw had left the contest on a Mike Ford single. This wasn’t close to the strong outing he had Wednesday against the Reds, but there were some good moments and a few punchouts to help.     • Gabriel Moreno homers, walks three times in win
      Gabriel Moreno hit a solo homer and drew three walks in a victory over the Reds on Monday.

      Advice: Moreno took Graham Ashcraft deep for his first homer of the 2024 campaign. The four-reach game helps improve his slash to .248/.350/.356. The on-base percentage is nice. Everything else leaves a lot to be desired — even as a catcher. Rotoworld Today, 10:04 pm
       
    • Gimenez has two hits Monday
      Andres Gimenez went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored, and one RBI against the Rangers on Monday.

      Advice: Gimenez scored on a wild pitch in the eighth inning before hitting an RBI double in the ninth inning. His power has almost completely disappeared as he’s now sporting a .105 ISO on the season. The Guardians lineup has been so good for run scoring that Gimenez has still managed to score 22 runs and drive in 21 runs in 39 games this season. Rotoworld Today, 8:48 pm

      Gimenez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 7-0 win over the White Sox.

      Advice: Gimenez had gone 0-for-15 with one walk and a stolen base over his previous four games. He snapped the skid with a fourth-inning solo shot, his second homer of the year. The second baseman is at a .242/.307/.342 slash line with 20 RBI, 20 runs scored and five stolen bases through 38 contests. He's remained in the No. 2 spot in the order versus right-handers since Steven Kwan (hamstring) went on the injured list, but the Guardians haven't gotten much hitting from the trio of Estevan Florial, Brayan Rocchio or Tyler Freeman, who had all gotten looks at leadoff in that span.       India went 3-for-5 with a stolen base in Sunday's 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Giants.

      Advice: India posted his second multi-hit effort of May, but he's still hitting a modest .216 (8-for-37) for the month. All three of his hits Sunday were singles. The second baseman is up to a .225/.331/.310 slash line with two home runs, four steals, 11 RBI, 12 runs scored, three doubles and a triple over 35 contests this season. Despite his lackluster hitting, India's fourth on the team in batting average and sixth in OPS, so it's unlikely he'll lose a starting role any time soon. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:36 pm
       
    • Pete Alonso drives in two runs in win over Braves
      Pete Alonso went 2-for-4 with a double and drove in a pair of runs on Sunday night as the Mets rallied to beat the Braves.

      Advice: Alonso got the Mets on the board with a run-scoring single off of Bryce Elder in the third inning. He then plated their other run with an RBI double off of Elder in the sixth inning that tied the game at 2-2. The 29-year-old slugger’s bat has started to pick up a bit, but he’s still hitting a disappointing .223/.305/.453 with nine homers, 22 RBI and one stolen base on the season.
