    • Rhys Hoskins exits game with leg injury
Rhys Hoskins left Monday’s game in the second inning with an apparent leg injury.

Advice: Hoskins was hurt running to first base on a single. He was able to walk off the field without much trouble, so hopefully that’s a good sign. Hoskins missed all of last year with a torn ACL in his left knee. Rotoworld 41 minutes ago

    • Lifted early vs. Pirates
Hoskins left Monday's game against Pittsburgh after suffering a hamstring injury, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: Hoskins appeared to tweak something in the bottom of the second inning after singling to right field, and he was immediately removed from the matchup. He's headed to the clubhouse for further evaluation and will be considered day-to-day until more information comes to light. Rotowire.com 46 minutes ago

    • Still feeling ill
Manager John Schneider said Monday that Springer is out of the lineup for the Blue Jays' series opener in Baltimore because he's still feeling sick, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: After sitting out Friday and Saturday due to the ailment, Springer returned to the lineup for Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Twins and played nine innings in right field while going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. Despite playing a full game, Springer apparently hasn't completely shaken the illness, so he'll be back on the bench Monday. A bug seems to be making its way around the clubhouse, as Kevin Kiermaier and Justin Turner are out of the lineup for the fourth and second consecutive games, respectively, due to illnesses of their own. • George Springer again sidelined by illness
George Springer, who missed games Friday and Saturday before going 0-for-4 on Sunday, is again sidelined due to illness on Monday.

Advice: It seems he, Justin Turner and Kevin Kiermaier all have the same thing. Cavan Biggio is playing right field in his place. Rotoworld Today, 1:59 pm

    • Taking seat Monday
Springer is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: Springer made his return from a two-game absence due to an illness in Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Twins, starting in right field and playing all nine innings while going 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts. The Blue Jays haven't indicated that Springer is still feeling under the weather, so his absence Monday is likely just a pre-planned maintenance day as he works his way back to full strength following the bout with the illness. Cavan Biggio will replace Springer in right field. Rotowire.com Today, 1:34 pm

    • Grabs win after Mets walk off
Diaz (1-1) secured the win over Alanta on Sunday, tossing a perfect ninth frame while striking out a batter.

Advice: Diaz entered to begin the ninth with the Mets trailing 3-2 and wound up with the win thanks to a Brandon Nimmo two-run walk off homer in the bottom of the inning. He's bounced back with a save and a win in his last two outings after allowing three runs in his previous four innings. He's also struck out at least one batter in all 15 of his appearances thus far. For the year, Diaz owns a 2.30 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 23:4 K:BB in 15.2 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 7:54 am

    • On base three times in win
Chisholm went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, a triple, a run scored and an RBI in Sunday's extra-inning win over the Phillies.

Advice: Both extra-base hits came off Zack Wheeler, as the Marlins tagged the Phillies' ace for six runs -- the right-hander's worst start of the season. Chisholm has caught fire over the last week, producing four multi-hit performances in the last seven games and batting .370 (10-for-27) over that stretch with three doubles, a triple, a homer, three steals, three RBI and five runs. • Converts for save No. 7
Jansen picked up the save Sunday against Washington, allowing one hit and no walks over a scoreless ninth inning. He didn't log a strikeout.

Advice: Jansen got an assist from catcher Connor Wong, who ended the game by throwing out Jacob Young during an attempted steal of second base. The 36-year-old has converted on seven of his eight save chances, owning a 2.63 ERA with 19 strikeouts over 13.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:11 pm

    • Launches first homer of 2024
Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 9-3 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Torkelson finally broke through for his first home run of the 2024 season, launching a two-run shot off of Houston reliever Seth Martinez with two outs in the bottom of the ninth. After producing 31 home runs over 159 games in 2023, it took the first baseman 38 contests to go deep in 2024. Torkelson is now batting .224 with a home run, 14 RBI and 15 runs scored over those 38 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:06 pm
