    • Tatis crushes ninth home run Saturday
Fernando Tatis Jr. went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Yankees on Saturday.

Advice: Tatis Jr. homered on a fly ball to center in the eighth inning off Yankees reliever Luke Weaver. It was his ninth home run on the season and the only run the Padres scored on the night. Tatis has been productive with nine home runs and six stolen bases this year, but his average is lagging behind at .244. Rotoworld Saturday, 9:50 pm
    • Doyle steals three bases on Saturday
Brenton Doyle went 2-for-4 with a run scored and three stolen bases against the Phillies on Saturday.

Advice: Doyle scored on an RBI ground out by Hunter Goodman in the second inning. He’s quietly having a nice season for the Rockies. Doyle’s average is .272 and he’s up to 13 stolen bases on the season now. Rotoworld Saturday, 9:17 pm

    • Battling hamstring issue
Manager Bob Melvin said Saturday that Wade tweaked his hamstring during the ninth inning of Friday's win over the Mets, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Melvin noted that the Giants consider Wade's injury to be minor, but they have decided not to push their luck and will keep him out of the lineup for Saturday's contest. Wilmer Flores will cover first base and bat fifth while Wade recovers. Rotowire.com Saturday, 9:30 am

    • LaMonte Wade Jr. out with minor hamstring issue
LaMonte Wade Jr. is day-to-day with a hamstring issue.

Advice: Wade tweaked his hamstring stretching at first base to grab Matt Chapman’s game-saving throw in the ninth inning of Friday’s dramatic win over the Mets, so he’s getting some extra time off to rest and recover. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern, but it’s worth noting in case he winds up having to miss a couple contests going forward. Rotoworld Saturday, 9:29 am

    • Placed on IL with oblique strain
The Rays placed Lowe on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a right oblique strain.

Advice: Lowe left Wednesday's game against the Red Sox due to right side tightness, and an MRI on Thursday revealed an oblique strain for the 26-year-old. Lowe began the year on the IL due to a Grade 1 right oblique strain, and he didn't make his season debut until May 6. The severity of the new oblique strain isn't known, but given that it's on the right side again, Lowe could be on the shelf beyond the 10-day minimum. For his part, Lowe said Saturday that he's hopeful for an abbreviated stay on the shelf, and he expects to resume baseball activities Monday, per Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. For whatever length of time Lowe misses, Jonny DeLuca, Jose Siri and Richie Palacios should benefit from more playing time in the outfield. Rotowire.com Saturday, 9:17 am

    • Josh Lowe lands on IL with oblique strain
Rays placed OF Josh Lowe on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to May 23, with a right oblique strain.

Advice: Ugh. There was some optimism that Lowe wouldn’t be facing a lengthy absence after he wasn’t put on the injured list ahead of Friday’s series opener. The 26-year-old fantasy stalwart told reporters Saturday that he hopes to only have a minimum stay on the injured list, which is extremely encouraging. He’s been limited to just 14 games this season due to persistent injuries. It sounds like there’s a strong possibility he’ll return in early June. Rotoworld Saturday, 9:07 am

    • Goes yard in Friday's win
Fry went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and two total runs scored in Friday's 10-4 win over the Angels.

Advice: Fry has homered five times over his last 13 games, going 14-for-33 (.424) with a 10:6 BB:K in that span. The 28-year-old got a start at catcher versus southpaw Patrick Sandoval in this contest, though manager Stephen Vogt has found room for him in various spots including first base, third base, left field and designated hitter this season. Fry is slashing a stellar .360/.500/.628 with six homers, 19 RBI, 22 runs scored and three stolen bases over 114 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:39 pm

    • Pops fourth homer
Rengifo went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Friday's loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Rengifo opened the scoring by popping a 413-foot solo shot in the bottom of the first. The switch-hitting Angel has been hot since returning from an illness May 17, hitting .300 (9-for-30) with two homers, three steals, four runs scored and five RBI. Overall, Rengifo is slashing .322/.374/.504 in 132 plate appearances while playing every day at second or third base. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:56 pm

    • David Fry stays hot with homer, two hits vs. LAA
David Fry homered while going 2-for-3 in a blowout win over the Angels on Friday.

Advice: Just like we all expected, Fry has been one of the best hitters in the American League this season. You can’t prove we didn’t expect it, anyway. Fry has gone deep six times in his 35 games, and his slash is a borderline unrealistic .360/.500/.628 over that timeframe. Mainly thanks to catcher-eligibility, Fry has to be rostered right now.
