    • Effective again in no-decision
Lopez allowed two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out four batters over 6.1 innings in a no-decision versus San Diego in Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader.

Advice: Lopez exited his previous start against the Cubs early due to back tightness, but the issue didn't seem to bother him Monday. The right-hander tossed 83 pitches and left in line for the win before Atlanta's bullpen crumbled late in the contest. Lopez earned his fourth quality start of the campaign but actually saw his ERA rise from 1.34 to 1.54, highlighting how great he's been this season. Monday was just the second time through eight outings that he's given up more than one earned run. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:07 pm

    • Ben Lively strikes out seven to defeat Mets
Ben Lively allowed one run over 5 2/3 innings on Monday in a win over the Mets.

Advice: Lively’s unexpected hot start continued in this one as he allowed three earned runs or fewer for the seventh consecutive start since making his season debut back on April 17. He matched a season-high with seven strikeouts and didn’t hand out a free pass. A third-inning solo shot by light-hitting backstop Tomás Nido represented the lone tally against him in this one. He’ll bring a strong 2.84 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 38/12 K/BB ratio across 38 innings (seven starts) into a favorable road matchup on Sunday against the Angels. Rotoworld Monday, 6:02 pm

    • Reynaldo López watches bullpen blow game in eighth
Reynaldo López yielded two runs in 6 1/3 innings versus the Padres to take a no-decision in the first game of Monday’s doubleheader.

Advice: López exited with a 5-1 lead in the seventh before one of his two inherited runners scored. That wasn’t bad, but then the Padres went on to score four runs off Joe Jiménez in the eighth to win the game. López still hasn’t allowed more than three runs in any start this season, but with the Braves not scoring like they did last year, his record stands at 2-1 after eight turns. Rotoworld May 20, 1:38 pm
