    • Yields four runs in loss
Anderson (5-6) allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out three over six innings to take the loss versus the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Anderson gave up two runs in each of the third and fifth innings. He threw 60 of 90 pitches for strikes, but this was the first time in five starts he allowed more than one run. It was just the second time he's been on the hook for four runs this year. The southpaw is at a 2.63 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 53:33 K:BB over 82 innings through 13 starts in 2024. Anderson's surface stats look close to his career year from 2022, but his 4.70 FIP and .218 BABIP suggest he's been very fortunate in 2024. Given his high walk rate, Anderson is a risky pitcher to roster in fantasy over the rest of the season. Rotowire.com 54 minutes ago

    • Matt Waldron holds D-Backs to one run over six
Matt Waldron allowed just one run in six innings to get a victory Saturday against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Waldron didn’t have to be at his best with the Padres giving 13 runs of support, but he was pretty close to it. He allowed just three hits over his six innings, and he fanned four while issuing two walks. Since his struggles against the D-Backs on May 5, Waldron has been outstanding, and his ERA has lowered from 5.82 to 3.76 in that timeframe. Another chance to lower that mark comes over the weekend against the Mets. Rotoworld Today, 10:08 pm

    • Ryne Nelson lit up for six runs in loss to Padres
Ryne Nelson gave up six runs — five earned — in just 3 1/3 innings to get a loss Saturday to the Padres.

Advice: Nelson allowed six hits, and he also issued four walks while locating just 58-of-91 offerings for strikes. The 26-year-old was coming off a strong start against the Giants where he went 7 1/3 innings while allowing just two runs, but this was much more like the majority of his outings have gone. His record drops to 3-5, and his ERA is now a lackluster 5.96 over 51 1/3 innings. He’s a risky streamer even against a bad team like the White Sox next weekend. Rotoworld Today, 10:08 pm

    • Roddery Muñoz allows two homers, four runs
Roddery Muñoz picked up a loss while allowing four runs in four innings Saturday against the Guardians.

Advice: Muñoz was recalled to make a start Saturday, and it didn’t go particularly well. The 24-year-old allowed a pair of homers and walked four, although he was at least able to pick up three strikeouts. Muñoz will likely get another chance to start with Miami, but there’s very little fantasy upside when that takes place regardless of the opponent. Rotoworld Today, 9:59 pm

    • Picks up first big-league win
Miller (1-2) allowed a hit and struck out two over one scoreless inning to earn the win over the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Starter Spencer Howard came up one out shy of qualifying for the win. That left the result to Miller, who got the last out of the fifth inning and two more in the sixth to contribute his part of 4.1 scoreless innings by the Giants' bullpen. Miller is on a 6.1-inning scoreless streak and has pitched to a 3.60 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 38:15 K:BB with 10 holds and two blown saves through 30 innings this season. He's also opened four games and continues to operate in whatever role is needed of him from game to game. Rotowire.com Today, 9:54 pm

    • Narrowly notches quality start
Gibson allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over six innings in a no-decision versus Colorado on Saturday.

Advice: Gibson yielded a run in the first inning but then kept the Rockies off the scoreboard in each of the following four frames. However, the veteran right-hander ran into trouble in the sixth, surrendering a leadoff homer to Ezequiel Tovar and another pair of hits that plated an additional run. Gibson was allowed to finish off the inning to complete the quality start, and he was taken off the hook for a potential loss when St. Louis plated four unearned runs in the bottom of the frame. While the eight hits he allowed tied a season-worst mark and his final stat line wasn't overly impressive, the quality start was Gibson's second in his past three outings. Rotowire.com Today, 9:51 pm

    • Works eighth inning
Beeks struck out two without allowing a baserunner across a scoreless inning to earn a hold Saturday against the Cardinals.

Advice: Beeks entered the game in the eighth inning for the second consecutive game, this time clearly in a setup role. He had served as the Rockies' closer for a month prior to allowing five earned runs Wednesday, though he had a disastrous 6.92 ERA and 1.92 WHIP across 13 games in that span. Save chances will likely continue to rotate through members of the team's bullpen, though it appears Tyler Kinley is first in line for the time being. Rotowire.com Today, 9:51 pm

    • Labors through scoreless frame
Kopech allowed one hit and one walk while striking out two across a scoreless ninth inning Saturday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Kopech was called upon to protect a five-run lead. He did so successfully, though he allowed three hitters to reach base -- he hit a batter in addition to the walk and hit he surrendered -- and required 33 pitches to retire the side. Though it was shaky, the outing was still positive for Kopech as he had allowed at least one run in three of his last four appearances entering Saturday. Rotowire.com Today, 9:45 pm

    • Strong again Saturday
Waldron (4-5) allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings to earn the win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Advice: Waldron submitted his third straight quality start, and he was able to cruise to the win after an explosive showing from the Padres' offense. The right-hander has allowed two runs over his last 19.1 innings, though he's faced the Angels, Marlins and Diamondbacks in that span, which hasn't been much of a test of his skills. Waldron is now at a 3.76 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 68:21 K:BB through 69.1 innings over 13 starts this season. He's tentatively projected for another favorable start on the road versus the Mets in his next outing. Rotowire.com Today, 9:37 pm
