    • Secures 15th save
Megill struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 2-0 win over the Angels.

Advice: Megill needed just seven pitches (six strikes) against the middle of the Angels' order to close out this contest. He's pitched four of the last five days, but he's thrown just 12 pitches over his last two outings. He's now 15-for-16 in save chances with a 2.01 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 27:7 K:BB through 22.1 innings this season. If Megill is unavailable for Thursday's series opener versus the Padres due to his recent workload, a potential save chance would likely go to Joel Payamps or Hoby Milner. • Trevor Megill secures 15th save vs. Angels
Trevor Megill struck out one batter in a perfect ninth inning to record the save against the Angels on Wednesday.

Advice: Megill was summoned with a two-run lead in the ninth to close it out against the Angels. He made quick work of Los Angeles, needing only seven pitches to put them away with one strikeout for his 15th save of the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:05 pm
    • Closes out Angels
Megill retired the only batter he faced to earn the save in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Angels.

Advice: The Brewers led 6-0 going into the ninth inning, but both Elieser Hernandez and Joel Payamps struggled. That led to Megill entering the game with runners on first and second, and he got Taylor Ward to fly out to end the Angels' rally. Megill has a save in six straight outings and he's converted his last eight chances. He's now 14-for-15 in save opportunities on the year with a 2.11 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 26:7 K:BB over 21.1 innings, functioning as the Brewers' primary closer while Devin Williams (back) is out. • Secures save Tuesday
Miller struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: Miller took a blown save in his last outing, though it was because he allowed an inherited runner to score. He's struggled a bit lately, allowing nine runs (six earned) with a 16:7 K:BB across 12.1 innings over his last 10 appearances. He's still performing quite well in the closer role for the Athletics, pitching to a 2.20 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 57:12 K:BB over 32.2 innings while going 13-for-15 in save chances this year. • Trevor Megill barely avoids game-tying homer
Trevor Megill barely retired the only batter he faced for his 14th save Tuesday against the Angels.

Advice: The Brewers led this one 6-0 going into the bottom of the ninth, but both Elieser Hernández and Joel Payamps struggled to put the game away. Megill came in with the tying run at the plate and gave up a long flyball to Taylor Ward that Sal Frelick made a jumping catch on at the wall. Statcast said it would have been a homer in zero of MLB’s 30 stadiums, but it did look like it would have gotten over the wall in Angel Stadium if Frelick hadn’t gotten in the way. • Mason Miller perfect in ninth for 13th save
Mason Miller recorded his 13th save with a scoreless ninth against the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: Miller had it easy tonight, getting one strikeout and a pair of routine flies. He’s had some hiccups of late, but he remains about as good of a bet as any reliever from an ERA and strikeout perspective. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:55 pm

    • Earns 13th save
Megill allowed a hit and a walk over a scoreless inning Sunday, striking out one and earning a save over the Reds.

Advice: Megill ran into trouble and nearly blew the save, but Blake Perkins saved the day with a game-ending outfield assist. He's converted seven straight saves since blowing a chance against the Marlins on May 20 and is now 13 for 14 this season. Megill owns a 26:7 K:BB and a 2.14 ERA through 21 innings. • Megill picks up 13th save against Reds Sunday
Trevor Megill pitched a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Reds on Sunday.

Advice: Megill’s save was his 13th of the year filling in for Devin Williams. In the ninth inning, with two men on and two outs, Megill gave up a single to Santiago Espinal on a line drive to center. However, outfielder Blake Perkins threw out Stuart Fairchild at home to end the game. It ended up being a scoreless inning for Megill, who lowered his ERA to 2.14 on the season. • Struggles with long ball
Pepiot (4-4) allowed five runs on six hits and three walks while striking out four batters over 4.2 innings in a loss to Atlanta on Saturday.

Advice: Pepiot looked to be on his game with four scoreless innings to begin his outing, but things fell apart for him in the fifth. In that frame, the right-hander gave up three home runs -- all with two out -- to account for five Atlanta runs. It marked the first time this season Pepiot has given up three home homers in a game, and the long balls prevented him from finishing five frames for the third time this season. The five runs Pepiot allowed Saturday were the most he's given up in an outing since his season debut against Texas on April 1. Rotowire.com Saturday, 9:30 pm
