    • Tyler O’Neill (knee) remains out Tuesday vs. O’s
Tyler O’Neill (knee) is not in the starting lineup against the Orioles on Tuesday.

Advice: O’Neill will miss his third straight game after being removed from Saturday’s game with right knee soreness. Rob Refsnyder is the designated hitter against Baltimore, and he’ll hit third against Grayson Rodriguez and the Orioles pitching staff. Rotoworld 46 minutes ago

    • Remains out Tuesday
O'Neill (knee) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Orioles.

Advice: O'Neill had said previously that he was aiming to return to action Tuesday after missing two games with a sore right knee, but instead he will begin a third straight contest on the bench. Rob Refsnyder is occupying the designated hitter spot for the Red Sox on Tuesday. Rotowire.com 48 minutes ago

    • Starling Marte sitting first game of doubleheader
Starling Marte is not in the lineup for the first game of a doubleheader versus the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Advice: Marte will get the first game of the twin-billing off. While he sits, the Mets will have Tyrone Taylor handle center field with DJ Stewart in right field. Harrison Bader is also out of the lineup for the first game against Tyler Glasnow and the Dodgers. Rotoworld Today, 9:37 am

    • Sitting out first game
Marte is not in the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers.

Advice: Marte will surely be back among the starting nine for the second contest, but he'll begin the first one on the bench as the Dodgers send tough right-hander Tyler Glasnow to the hill. DJ Stewart will patrol right field in the first game. Rotowire.com Today, 9:35 am

    • Not in Monday's lineup
McCormick is absent from the lineup for Monday's game in Seattle.

Advice: It's the second straight game on the bench for McCormick, who is 1-for-9 in three contests since returning from the injured list. The Astros are going with Yordan Alvarez in left field Monday, with Jon Singleton in the designated hitter spot and Jose Abreu at first base in his return. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:08 pm
    • Fans six in victory
Irvin (5-2) picked up the win in Monday's 11-3 victory over Boston, scattering four hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out six and did not allow a run.

Advice: The 30-year-old southpaw was sharp, not allowing an extra-base hit and matching his season best with six strikeouts. The three walks were uncharacteristic for Irvin, who allowed just one free pass over his previous 24.1 innings pitched. After allowing nine earned runs over his first two starts of the season, Irvin has yielded just seven earned runs over his past eight starts, good for a 1.55 ERA in that span. He will look to keep it rolling in his next start, currently scheduled for this weekend in Tampa. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:06 pm

    • Cole Irvin tosses five frames to beat Red Sox
Cole Irvin spun five shutout innings on Monday in a win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Irvin was staked to an early lead and was able to cruise to a relatively easy victory, limiting Boston’s lineup to just four hits over five frames of work. He struck out six and also handed out a trio of free passes. The 30-year-old lefty still isn’t missing a ton of bats, but he’s been effective in his last couple outings following a rocky start to the year. He’ll remain in Baltimore’s starting rotation mix with both John Means (forearm) and Dean Kremer (triceps) on the shelf. He’ll bring a strong 2.84 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 36/11 K/BB ratio across 50 2/3 innings (10 appearances, eight starts) into a home outing on Sunday against the strikeout-prone Rays. • Tyler O’Neill (knee) out of the lineup on Monday
Tyler O’Neill (knee) remains out of the lineup on Monday against the Orioles.

Advice: O’Neill exited Saturday’s game against the Brewers with right knee soreness and has now missed two straight games. The Red Sox haven’t expressed any concern and perhaps a few days off is just what the 28-year-old needs. O’Neill has struggled since missing a little over a week with concussion symptoms after a collision with Rafael Devers in left field. In 111 plate appearances since then, O’Neill is slashing .200/.279/.380 with four home runs, nine RBI, and a 40.5 percent strikeout rate. It’s hard to know which of these ailments is impacting him the most, but he’s clearly not fully healthy right now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:31 am

    • Locked in to start Monday
Irvin will start Monday's game against the Red Sox in Baltimore, Danielle Allentuck of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Advice: As expected, Irvin will draw back into the rotation as a replacement for John Means (forearm), who was placed on the 15-day injured list Thursday. Though he made his last two appearances in relief, Irvin shouldn't be in line for any major workload restrictions Monday after he covered 3.1 innings out of the bullpen last Wednesday against the Cardinals. Over his prior seven starts with Baltimore this season, Irvin went 4-1 with a 2.90 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 28:8 K:BB in 40.1 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:25 am
