    • Hits long ball Saturday
O'Hoppe went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a loss to the Dodgers on Saturday.

Advice: O'Hoppe tagged Dodgers starter Tyler Glasnow for a solo shot in the seventh inning. The long ball pushed the backstop up to 10 homers through 246 plate appearances on the season after he went deep 14 times across 199 plate appearances as a rookie last year. Among MLB catchers, O'Hoppe ranks sixth in home runs and is tied for eighth with 32 RBI. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:25 am

    • Logan O’Hoppe goes deep in loss to Dodgers
Logan O’Hoppe slugged a solo homer on Saturday in the Angels’ loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: O’Hoppe was the lone Angels batter to do any damage against Dodgers ace Tyler Glasnow as he connected for a fifth-inning homer in this one. It was his 10th round-tripper of the season. The 24-year-old backstop is quietly emerging as one of the better fantasy catchers as he’s on pace to easily eclipse the 20-homer threshold in his full-season debut after being limited to just 51 games last year due to a shoulder injury. • Homers again in loss
Alvarez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 8-1 loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Alvarez's solo home run off Jameson Taillon in the fifth inning was the only run the Mets could muster Saturday. He later added a double in the seventh frame and walked in the ninth. Alvarez has homered on back-to-back days and has gone 10-for-19 with two long balls and six RBI over his past five contests. The young catcher is hitting .284 with three home runs and 16 RBI in 88 at-bats this season. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:41 pm

    • Francisco Alvarez homers in second straight game
Francisco Alvarez went 2-for-3 with a solo homer on Saturday in the Mets’ one-sided defeat at the hands of the Cubs.

Advice: Alvarez supplied New York’s lone run in a blowout loss at Wrigley Field by taking Chicago starter Jameson Taillon deep in the fifth inning for his third round-tripper of the year. It was his second consecutive game with a homer after going without one in nine straight contests after returning from the injured list back on June 11. He hasn’t hit for a ton of power, but he’s batting an impressive .364 (12-for-33) with two homers and eight RBI this month. Rotoworld Saturday, 2:18 pm

    • Homers, reaches three times in win
Alvarez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two walks in Friday's 11-1 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Alvarez opened the second inning with a 420-foot home run off Shota Imanaga then walked in the fourth and ninth frames. The homer was Alvarez's first since returning from a thumb injury June 11, and he has eight hits and five RBI during a modest four-game hitting streak. On the season, Alvarez is slashing .271/.319/.400 with two home runs and 15 RBI in 91 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Friday, 3:17 pm

    • Three more hits Tuesday
Alvarez went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Tuesday's win over the Rangers.

Advice: The Mets' offense has suddenly roared to life, scoring 52 runs over the course of a seven-game win streak, and it's perhaps no coincidence that Alvarez returned from his thumb injury the day before the streak started. The 22-year-old backstop has delivered back-to-back three-hit performances, boosting his slash line on the season to .269/.305/.372 through 24 contests with a homer, nine runs and 14 RBI. • Collects three hits
Alvarez went 3-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI in Monday's win against Texas.

Advice: Alvarez singled and scored in the fifth inning before delivering RBI base hits in the sixth and eighth frames. He entered Monday's game in a 2-for-14 (.143) slump since returning from the injured list. Alvarez produced his first multi-hit game since April 11. He's now slashing .243/.282/.338 with 12 RBI through 23 games this season. Rotowire.com Jun 17, 8:41 pm

    • Resting for day game
Alvarez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.

Advice: Alvarez will get a breather for the day game Sunday after he started behind the plate Friday and Saturday. Luis Torrens will step in as the Mets' starting catcher in place of Alvarez, who has gone 2-for-14 with two RBI through his first four starts since returning from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.
