    • Double, RBI in return
Stephenson started at catcher and went 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Stephenson was back in the starting lineup after being held out for two games with an undisclosed injury, although he did pinch hit Saturday. The Reds had called up catcher Austin Wynns on Friday, but Stephenson's injury was not serious, and Wynns was sent back to Triple-A Louisville on Sunday. Rotowire.com 11 minutes ago
    • X-rays on elbow negative
Benson was removed from Sunday's loss to Boston after getting hit by a pitch on the inside of his left elbow, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports. X-rays following the game came back negative.

Advice: Benson was plunked during the bottom of the eighth inning and stayed in the game to run, but he was replaced by Nick Martini for the top of the ninth. Prior to leaving, Benson went 0-for-3, running his hitless streak to a career-high 21 at-bats. It's unclear if the injury will force Benson to miss much action, but it's unlikely he will be in the lineup Monday against Pittsburgh left-hander Bailey Falter. The lefty-hitting Benson doesn't get many opportunities against southpaws, against whom he's batting .095 (4-for-42) this season. Rotowire.com 17 minutes ago

    • Headed for Triple-A Reno
Thomas (hamstring) will take live batting practice Monday then head to Triple-A Reno to continue a rehab assignment, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Thomas will be the hitter in a live BP session thrown by Zac Gallen (hamstring). Thomas' rehab assignment was paused the middle of last week then resumed over the weekend; he had six combined at-bats over two games in the Arizona Complex League and played seven innings in center field Saturday. He said the hamstring responded well to the activity, and the Diamondbacks decided to move his rehab to its Triple-A affiliate. Rotowire.com Today, 4:53 am

    • Picks up fifth steal
Gorman went 0-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Giants.

Advice: Gorman got aboard on a fielder's choice and picked up a steal for the second game in a row. The second baseman has gone 0-for-9 with a hit-by-pitch and two sacrifice flies over his last three contests. He's gone 17 games without a multi-hit effort, batting a poor .078 (5-for-64) in that span, though two of those hits have been homers. The slump has him down to a .194/.272/.421 slash line with 16 home runs, 36 RBI, five steals and 31 runs scored across 70 contests. Gorman's struggled to hit for average over his three years in the majors, and a career-worst 35.9 percent strikeout rate isn't doing him any favors in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:33 pm

    • Records first career steal
Pages went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Giants.

Advice: The steal was the first of Pages' young career, and Sunday also saw the rookie catcher log his first multi-hit effort. He's hit safely in six of his last 10 games, going 7-for-33 (.212) in that span to lift his season slash line to .155/.227/.276 over 66 plate appearances. Pages has seen a majority of the playing time at catcher lately, as Ivan Herrera was battling back tightness that ultimately landed him on the injured list. Pages is expected to slip back into a backup role when Willson Contreras (forearm) returns, though it's possible Pages maintains some steady playing time since the Cardinals value his defensive skills. • Produces lone run
Toglia went 1-for-3 with a solo home run during Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Nationals.

Advice: Toglia got the Rockies on the board first, launching a solo homer off Jake Irvin in the second inning. However, Colorado would go scoreless the rest of the way, and a pair of ninth-inning runs by the Nationals resulted in a Rockies loss. Toglia has been a mainstay in the Colorado lineup since being called up June 6 and has three home runs in his last nine games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:44 pm
    • Drives in two, swipes bag
Taveras went 2-for-4 with a two-RBI single and a stolen base during Sunday's 4-0 win over the Royals.

Advice: Taveras took part in the Rangers' three-run third inning, plating Nathaniel Lowe and Wyatt Langford on a two-run single with two outs. While he stole second base after the hit, he didn't end up coming around to score. The center fielder has been slumping in June, batting 7-for-61 (.115) with five RBI, five runs scored and a pair of steals. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:39 pm
    • Homers twice versus Cleveland
Horwitz went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs, two walks and three runs scored in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Horwitz walked and came around to score on a home run from Vladimir Guerrero in the top of the first. Horwitz later added two long balls of his own, taking Triston McKenzie deep for a solo shot in the third before adding another blast off reliever Darren McCaughan in the fifth. After going without a homer for in his first 12 games this season, the 26-year-old notched his first pair Sunday. On the season, Horwitz is now batting .366 with two home runs, five RBI and six runs scored over 41 at-bats in 13 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:31 pm
    • Two doubles, steal in win
Bader went 2-for-3 with two doubles, a walk, one stolen base and two runs scored in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Bader entered Sunday 0-for-9 over his last three games. He broke the drought with his fourth multi-hit effort over 17 contests in June. While he's hitting .255 (13-for-51) this month, eight of those knocks have gone for extra bases, and he's driven in 11 runs. The outfielder is slashing .268/.316/.388 with four home runs, 13 doubles, 27 RBI, 27 runs scored and 10 steals through 67 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:27 pm
