    • Hits long ball Saturday
O'Hoppe went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a loss to the Dodgers on Saturday.

Advice: O'Hoppe tagged Dodgers starter Tyler Glasnow for a solo shot in the seventh inning. The long ball pushed the backstop up to 10 homers through 246 plate appearances on the season after he went deep 14 times across 199 plate appearances as a rookie last year. Among MLB catchers, O'Hoppe ranks sixth in home runs and is tied for eighth with 32 RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 8:25 am
    • Demolishes 23rd homer
Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's win over the Angels while also drawing a walk.

Advice: Ohtani jumped on a hanging slider from Zach Plesac in the third inning and launched it 459 feet into the stands in right-center field for his 23rd home run of the season. The superstar slugger has now homered in three consecutive games and has collected at least one RBI in seven straight. Over that latter stretch he's batting .481 (13-for-27) with six homers, 13 RBI and 10 runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 8:15 am

    • Shohei Ohtani homers again, Dodgers crush Angels
Shohei Ohtani homered for the second consecutive contest against his former team during Saturday’s Freeway Series finale, leading the Dodgers to a commanding 7-2 victory over the Angels.

Advice: Ohtani connected for his 23rd round-tripper of the season in the fourth inning of Saturday’s Freeway Series finale against his former organization, launching a gargantuan 459-foot two-run moonshot to right-center field off Angels starter Zach Plesac as part of the Dodgers’ four-run explosion in the frame. The 29-year-old fantasy superstar homered in both games of the two-game set at Dodger Stadium and has gone deep a staggering six times over his last seven contests since June 16. Unreal. • Logan O’Hoppe goes deep in loss to Dodgers
Logan O’Hoppe slugged a solo homer on Saturday in the Angels’ loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: O’Hoppe was the lone Angels batter to do any damage against Dodgers ace Tyler Glasnow as he connected for a fifth-inning homer in this one. It was his 10th round-tripper of the season. The 24-year-old backstop is quietly emerging as one of the better fantasy catchers as he’s on pace to easily eclipse the 20-homer threshold in his full-season debut after being limited to just 51 games last year due to a shoulder injury. • Kyle Finnegan melts down in blown save vs. Rockies
Kyle Finnegan was charged with two runs and failed to record an out on Saturday in an ugly blown save against the Rockies.

Advice: Finnegan was saddled with a loss in the ninth inning after failing to hold a one-run lead at Coors Field. It was his first blown save since May 18. He gave up four consecutive hits to open the frame, including a game-tying single to Brenton Doyle, before handing out a bases-loaded free pass to Ryan McMahon to push across the game-winning run. It was a pretty legendary meltdown, but fantasy managers should overlook it considering the environment and how solid Finnegan has been overall this year. Rotoworld Today, 3:16 am
    • David Hamilton back in Saturday’s lineup vs. Reds
David Hamilton (side) is back in the lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Reds.

Advice: Hamilton is back in Boston’s lineup after missing two of their last three contests due to some lingering left side discomfort. The 26-year-old speedster should be rostered in all fantasy formats at this point since he’s batting .315 (29-for-92) with three homers and 16 stolen bases over his last 30 games. His game-changing speed is a factor for fantasy purposes, even if he’s going to bat near the bottom of the lineup more often than not. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:19 am

    • Facing hitters Sunday
Senga (shoulder) will throw live batting practice Sunday, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Senga has had no issues throwing bullpen sessions over the last several days, so he will now graduate to throwing 20 pitches against hitters at the Mets' complex in Florida. Assuming all goes well, the 31-year-old righty will likely throw another few live sessions before being cleared to begin a rehab assignment with one of the Mets' minor-league affiliates. • Kodai Senga (shoulder) set to face hitters Sunday
Kodai Senga (shoulder) will progress to facing hitters on Sunday in a live batting practice session.

Advice: It’ll be the first time Senga faces hitters since experiencing a setback in his rehabilitation process back in late May. The 31-year-old righty is still weeks away from a potential return to New York’s starting rotation and isn’t going to make his season debut until sometime after next month’s All-Star break. • Season-high 10 Ks in win
Abbott (6-6) picked up the win Friday, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk over 5.2 innings in a 5-2 victory over the Red Sox. He struck out 10.

Advice: The 10 Ks were a season high for Abbott and marked the third time in 36 career big-league starts he's reached double digits. The 25-year-old lefty hasn't had consistent swing-and-miss stuff this year -- he hasn't fanned more than six batters in an outing since May 4 -- and continues to have trouble keeping the ball in the park, as both runs against him Friday came on solo shots, but he's been making it all work so far in 2024. Abbott will take a 3.40 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 70:26 K:BB through 84.2 innings into his next start, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Pirates. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:52 am
