    • Bryse Wilson gives up five runs to Padres
Bryse Wilson surrendered five runs in 4 2/3 innings Thursday against the Padres.

Advice: Wilson was supposed to lose this one, but the Padres let him off the hook in the top of the ninth, only to succumb in the bottom of the inning. The Brewers and everyone else know that Wilson belongs in middle relief, and the team might eventually get back to the point at which that is feasible. For now, though, he’ll stick in the rotation and face the Rangers next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:17 pm

    • Notches eighth victory
Stone (8-2) earned the win over Colorado on Thursday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over 5.1 innings.

Advice: Stone performed well in the Colorado altitude, as none of the four hits against him went for extra bases. The right-hander was working on a shutout through five frames but fell off in the sixth inning, loading the bases with one out on a pair of walks and a single before getting the hook. Two of those three runners scored after his departure, but that didn't prevent Stone from registering the win. The 25-year-old has become a key part of Los Angeles' rotation in his first full MLB campaign, leading the team with eight victories while posting a 3.04 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 63:25 K:BB over 80 innings. • Grabs win Thursday
Baker (1-0) allowed a hit and a walk while striking out one over 1.1 scoreless innings to earn the win over the Yankees on Thursday.

Advice: Baker has covered five scoreless innings across four appearances since he was brought up from Triple-A Norfolk. He's posted a 2:1 K:BB while adding two holds, which suggests he's an option to see some high-leverage work while Danny Coulombe (elbow) is out for the next couple of months. Baker had a 6.55 ERA over 22 innings with Norfolk prior to his call-up, but he added five saves for the minor-league club. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:57 pm
    • Pitches well in no-decision
Flexen allowed one run on five hits and three walks while striking out six batters over six innings in a no-decision against Houston on Thursday.

Advice: This was a nice bounce-back for Flexen after he allowed six runs (four earned) over 3.1 innings against Arizona in his previous start. The right-hander completed six frames Thursday for the first time since early May and finished with just his third quality start of the season. Flexen has had a tough time in his first campaign with the White Sox, posting a 5.03 ERA and 1.39 WHIP over 73.1 frames. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:47 pm

    • Falls apart in fifth frame
Arrighetti allowed three runs on five hits and and four walks while striking out two batters over 4.1 innings in a no-decision against the White Sox on Thursday.

Advice: Arrighetti navigated through four scoreless innings despite allowing at least one baserunner in each of those frames. The rookie's tightrope act came to an end in the fifth, however, as the White Sox put four runners on base (on three hits and a walk) before he could get his second out. Arrighetti has now completed fewer than five frames in three of his past four starts, and walks have been a major issue for him, as he's issued 12 free passes over 14.1 innings during that span. • Belts three-run blast
Miranda went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run Thursday against the Rays.

Advice: Miranda's clutch homer came with two on and two out in the ninth inning to tie the game and send it into extra innings. It was the eighth blast of the season for Miranda, who continues to distance himself from last year's nightmarish campaign. The third-year pro is now slashing .280/.317/.477 with eight homers, 12 doubles, a triple, 27 RBI, 23 runs and a steal over 205 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:02 pm
    • Fermin mashes two home runs in win Thursday
Freddy Fermin went 3-for-4 with two solo home runs against the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: Fermin’s two home runs were the difference in the Royals’ 3-2 win on Thursday. He’s now hitting .303 with a .799 OPS in 132 at-bats on the season. Fermin is still just the backup catcher in Kansas City and not a priority in fantasy. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:55 pm
    • Stratton picks up fourth save Thursday
Chris Stratton picked up the save against the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: Stratton’s save was his fourth of the year. James McArthur is still in the late inning mix for the Royals, but he entered in the seventh inning of a tie game. McArthur has only one save this month, but has finished four games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:50 pm
    • Spence allows two runs in no-decision Thursday
Mitch Spence allowed two runs in six innings and got a no-decision against the Royals on Thursday.

Advice: Spence gave up six hits, walked one and struck out seven. Both of the runs he allowed came on solo home runs by Freddy Fermin. Spence has a 3.86 ERA and SO:BB of 50:15 in seven starts this year. The 26-year-old right-hander is set to face the Angels on the road.
