    Advice: Schuemann hadn't logged an RBI since June 1 and drove in multiple runs for just the third time all season. Still, his productive day could've been even better, but Kyle McCann was called out at home due to runner's interference on Schuemann's second-inning double, preventing an additional RBI.     Advice: Neto has been the Angels’ best player since the end of April, but good luck convincing manager Ron Washington of that. Neto had mostly hit sixth of late.     Advice: Neto was also hit by a pitch in the fourth inning, and he came around to score when the next batter (Mickey Moniak) belted a grand slam. Neto's eighth-inning theft was his 10th of the campaign through 76 contests; as a rookie last year, he stole a modest five bases in 84 games.   • Brett Wisely finishes 2-for-4 in Giants’ victory
    Brett Wisely went 2-for-4 with a run scored from the leadoff spot in the Giants’ 5-1 defeat of the Cubs on Tuesday.

    Advice: Wisely’s second hit, a 403-foot double to left-center, would have been a homer in 29 of 30 ballparks and really a no-doubter in most of them. Oracle Park isn’t built that way, though.   • Not close to IL return
    Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said that Baez (back) won't be activated from the 10-day injured list before the end of the team's road trip July 7, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

    Advice: Baez became eligible to return from the IL on June 19, but Hinch noted that the shortstop will miss the upcoming 10-game road trip and requires an "extensive" rehab assignment prior to being activated. Given Hinch's comments, Baez seems likely to remain out through the All-Star break. Zach McKinstry and Ryan Kreidler have been splitting time at shortstop since Baez was placed on the IL.
