• Nationals ink Harold Ramírez to minor league pact
Nationals signed OF Harold Ramírez to a minor league contract.

Advice: It certainly didn’t take long for Ramírez to find a new opportunity after being released earlier this week by the Rays. However, it’s a bit surprising that he was forced to settle for a minor league deal. The 29-year-old corner outfielder boasts a solid .287/.325/.408 triple-slash line with 37 homers and 18 steals in 511 games in the majors since 2019. He’s batted .300 with 19 homers and 13 steals over the last three season for Tampa Bay and represents a solid depth addition for the rebuilding Nationals. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him in Washington very soon. Rotoworld 12 minutes ago

  • On bench Saturday
Calhoun is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's contest against the Giants, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Calhoun will remain on the bench for a third game in a row Saturday. Taylor Ward will draw another start at designated hitter while Kevin Pillar enters the lineup in left field and bats fourth versus San Francisco. Rotowire.com 22 minutes ago
  • Day off Saturday
Hays is not in the starting lineup Saturday against the Phillies, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Hays will get a breather after he went 1-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout in the team's 11-inning 5-3 loss in the series opener Friday. Colton Cowser will slide over to left field while Cedric Mullins enter the lineup in center field and bats seventh versus Philadelphia. Rotowire.com 29 minutes ago

  • Receiving start in right field
Laureano will start in right field and bat ninth in Saturday's game versus the Rays.

Advice: Atlanta will deploy Adam Duvall, Jarred Kelenic and Laureano as its starting outfield in this one and it could be the regular setup for them for a while with Michael Harris (hamstring) joining Ronald Acuna (knee) on the injured list. Laureano had a lowly .494 OPS in 31 games with the Guardians earlier this season before getting released. He seemed to find his footing at Triple-A Gwinnett with a 1.028 OPS and three homers in 14 contests. Rotowire.com 43 minutes ago

  • Braves move Jarred Kelenic up to leadoff spot
Jarred Kelenic is batting leadoff for Saturday’s game against the Rays.

Advice: Kelenic has been bumped up to the leadoff spot in the wake of Michael Harris II hitting the injured list with a hamstring strain. It’s a nice temporary boost for the 24-year-old former top prospect’s fantasy outlook, if he can capitalize on the opportunity. He holds a pedestrain .706 OPS four homers and one steal in 54 games this season. Rotoworld 46 minutes ago

  • Moves up to leadoff spot
Kelenic will start in center field and bat leadoff in Saturday's game versus the Rays.

Advice: With Michael Harris (hamstring) joining Ronald Acuna (knee) on the shelf, Atlanta has lost each of its last two leadoff hitters against right-handed pitching. Kelenic will get the next crack at the job, which is quite a promotion given that he hadn't previously batted higher than seventh this season. This is also his first start of the season in center field. Rotowire.com 47 minutes ago

  • Taking seat Saturday
Hurtubise is absent from the lineup for Saturday's game in Milwaukee.

Advice: The left-handed hitter had started the last three contests and each of the past six games versus right-handed pitching. Hurtubise will begin this one on the bench, though, as the Brewers go with a lefty opener and righty bulk reliever. Will Benson is in left field. Rotowire.com 52 minutes ago
  • On bench versus lefty
Conforto is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's matchup with the Angels.

Advice: Conforto will take a seat as the team faces left-hander Patrick Sandoval on the mound. Austin Slater will enter the lineup in left field and bat leadoff against Los Angeles. Rotowire.com Today, 10:04 am
  • Nursing injured elbow
Kepler is absent from Saturday's lineup against the Athletics due to a sore elbow, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Advice: Kepler was hit by a pitch on the elbow Friday and according to manager Rocco Baldelli, the outfielder is sore while dealing with some stiffness. Baldelli said that Kepler will probably "need a day or two," but the injury isn't considered to be a long-term concern. Rotowire.com Today, 10:01 am
