Kwan went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Kwan saw a 14-game hitting streak end Friday with an 0-for-4 performance, but he rebounded nicely Saturday. The homer was his third in June, and he's added six doubles, 10 RBI and 16 runs scored this month. The outfielder has matched his career high with six long balls, and with over half of the season to go, he has a reasonable chance at double digits. He's slashing a fantastic .390/.449/.564 with 22 RBI, 45 runs scored, three stolen bases, 12 doubles and two triples over 48 contests. Rotowire.com Today, 7:05 pm

    • Likely out 4-to-6 weeks
Marlins manager Skip Schumaker said that Luzardo, who was placed on the 15-day injured list earlier Saturday with a lumbar stress reaction, will likely be out for 4-to-6 weeks, the Associated Press reports.

Advice: Luzardo's back issue cropped up during his previous start last Sunday in Washington, but he had been on track to start Saturday's game against the Mariners until the Marlins scratched him a day in advance. He was moved to the IL a day later, with Schumaker confirming prior to Saturday's contest that the southpaw will be sidelined through at least the All-Star break with the injury. With the Marlins shaping up as non-contenders this season, Luzardo had been a sought-after name on the trade market, but his uncertain health could limit other teams' interest leading up to the July 30 deadline. Luzardo owns a 5.00 ERA over 12 starts on the season, but he's had shown improved form since late April with a 3.86 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 37:12 K:BB across 46.2 innings over his last eight outings. • Reports soreness during bullpen
Kershaw (shoulder) reported soreness during Saturday's bullpen session and could have his rehab outing scheduled for Tuesday pushed back, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Kershaw completed three innings in a rehab outing at Single-A Ranchero Cucamonga on Wednesday and was expected to jump up to Triple-A Oklahoma City for Tuesday's outing. However, he may need more time between rehab appearances after feeling soreness in his shoulder during a bullpen session Saturday. Even if Kershaw does have to push back his next outing, he's still not expected back until near the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Today, 4:44 pm
    • Clayton Kershaw dealing with soreness in shoulder
Dodgers’ skipper Dave Roberts told reporters on Saturday that Clayton Kershaw reported feeling soreness in his left shoulder following a bullpen session earlier in the day.

Advice: It’s not unusual for a pitcher to feel some soreness as they’re getting stretched out after such a long layoff, but he’ll be monitored closely over the next few days. Roberts noted that it’s possible Kershaw’s next minor league rehab start — scheduled for Tuesday at Triple-A Oklahoma City — will need to be pushed back. Rotoworld Today, 4:34 pm
    • Kwan has two hits, home run in win Saturday
Steven Kwan went 2-for-4 with a double and a home run against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Is there anything Kwan can’t do? The home run was his sixth of the year and second in his last four games. After going 0-for-4 on Friday to snap his 14-game hitting streak, he bounced back with another two hits. Kwan has been one of the best hitters in the league. He’s hitting .390 with a 1.013 OPS on the season now. Rotoworld Today, 4:12 pm

    • Wacha allows one in five innings in return from IL
Michael Wacha allowed one run in five innings and took the loss against the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Wacha gave up three hits, walked one and struck out five. It was a good return to the mound for Wacha, who was making his first start since missing three weeks with a fractured left foot. Unfortunately, the Royals couldn’t provide any offensive support and he was saddled with the loss. The 32-year-old right-hander is set to face the Guardians at home next weekend. • Josh Jung (wrist) to take batting practice Tuesday
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy told reporters Josh Jung (wrist) will take batting practice on Tuesday to determine whether he’s ready to return.

Advice: Jung has been dealing with some minor soreness in his surgically-repaired wrist, which isn’t uncommon at this stage of his rehabilitation process. He’ll take batting practice early next week to determine whether he’s ready to return or needs some additional time in the minor leagues. Rotoworld Today, 11:37 am

    • Aiming for return Monday
Jung (wrist) told reporters Saturday that he believes he could return to the Rangers on Monday, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.

Advice: Jung noted that his wrist still feels stiff when swinging the bat, and that his return is still under discussion. His right wrist was fractured after being hit by a pitch April 1, and he underwent surgery one day later. He began his rehab assignment with Triple-A Round Rock on June 16 and went 4-for-17 with one RBI over four outings. If Jung returns Monday, he would be available for the Rangers' series opener against the Brewers. Rotowire.com Today, 9:59 am

    • Josh Jung (wrist) aiming to return early next week
Josh Jung (wrist) is hoping to return early next week.

Advice: Jung told reporters Saturday that he’ll be back soon, but that decision is ultimately up to Texas’ medical staff. The 26-year-old third baseman has been working his way back from early-April surgery to repair a fractured wrist and figures to be ready to roll at some point in the coming days. It’s possible he’ll be activated prior to Monday’s series opener against Milwaukee, but that’s not official yet. Rotoworld Today, 9:39 am
