    • Throws bullpen session
Stewart (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Sunday and is scheduled to throw again Wednesday and Saturday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Advice: The right-hander landed on the injured list with shoulder tendinitis in early May and received a PRP injection a few weeks later. If all goes well Stewart could progress to a simulated game early next week. It's possible he could return in early July before the All-Star break, but his recovery has moved at a slow pace. • Homers in loss
France went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's 11-3 loss to the Rays.

Advice: France singled in the third inning and hit a 427-foot two-run home run in the fifth. He had been mired in a 1-for-20 slump since returning from the IL with a heel injury June 18, and the homer was his first since May 31. On the season, the first baseman is hitting .238 with eight home runs and 29 RBI over 235 at-bats. Rotowire.com 19 minutes ago

    • Clubs leadoff homer in win
Ohtani went 2-for-4 with a homer, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 4-3 win versus the White Sox.

Advice: The Dodgers' designated hitter crushed Chris Flexen's fifth pitch of the game 376 feet for a leadoff homer. Ohtani has now batted atop the order eight consecutive games while hitting .419 (13-for-31) with five homers, 14 RBI and 10 runs scored. The Japanese superstar may be on his way to a third MVP campaign as he's slashing .318/.395/.626 with 24 homers, 63 runs scored, 60 RBI and 16 steals over 356 plate appearances this season. • Homers, drives in four in win
Rortvedt went 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI in Tuesday's 11-3 win over the Mariners.

Advice: Rortvedt walked in the fifth inning, hit a two-run home run in the sixth and added a two-run single in the seventh. The catcher has enjoyed a great June, hitting .333 with three home runs and 14 RBI over 45 at-bats. The 26-year-old only has 15 at-bats against left-handed pitching this season, but he is slashing a solid .282/.369/.405 with three homers and 23 RBI in 146 at-bats against righties. • Ketel Marte hits two-run homer in Arizona’s win
Ketel Marte hit a two-run homer in the first and singled in the go-ahead run in the seventh as the Diamondbacks edged the Twins 5-4 on Tuesday.

Advice: Marte has 16 homers, which is already the third highest total of his career. He’s going to deserve to be the NL’s starting second baseman in the All-Star Game this year, but since the Padres got away with listing Luis Arraez at second after turning him into a full-time first baseman, there’s still some doubt who will get the nod. • Brandon Pfaadt blows lead in seventh versus Twins
Brandon Pfaadt surrendered four runs in 6 1/3 innings Tuesday in a no-decision against the Twins.

Advice: Byron Buxton homered off Pfaadt in the fifth, but that was the only run he allowed until the seventh, when he gave up a three-run shot to Ryan Jeffers. He was at just 80 pitches at the time, so fatigue probably wasn’t much of an issue. Still, it’s hard to go through a quality lineup three times. Pfaadt remained 3-6 with a 4.45 ERA. He’s due to face the A’s next. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago

    • Paul Sewald notches 10th save against Twins
Paul Sewald recorded his 10th save with a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday against the Twins.

Advice: Sewald gave up a two-out double to Byron Buxton, putting the tying run on base. Ryan Jeffers followed with a stinging liner to left, but it was hit right to Lourdes Gurriel Jr., ending the game. Statcast’s xBA, which only takes into account exit velocity and launch angle, said it had a 94% chance of becoming a hit. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago
    • Joe Ryan can’t overcome bad start versus D-backs
Joe Ryan yielded four runs in six innings Tuesday in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: All of the runs came in the first two innings. Ryan excelled afterwards, retiring 14 of the final 15 batters he faced. He struck out five and walked none. Ryan’s next start is likely to come Sunday versus the Mariners. Rotoworld 27 minutes ago
